I'll tell you like I tell my friends who are also budding writers. There are usually steps to how I prepare a story, but unlike them, I'll tell you a bit more.

First, I think of a premise of the story - MTTS for example was inspired by the somber tones of another story on this site "Stranger Than Fiction". What I wanted to do with the story, was give the characters a bit more dimension while telling a decent story. A lot of what I put into MTTS comes from my own studies of Psychology, Physiology, and other ologies I don't feel like listing.

Once I got the premise down, I jot down key points I want to see happen. I usually keep this in a notebook somewhere rather than a computer. And when I'm satisfied with what I have, I begin writing.

Each key point is a beginning and a ending. What I do is write out the beginning, and visualize the ending, and just connect the dots. That's pretty much it.

I would sometimes, create new key points and key endings and begin them, weaving them intricately into the story to give it a bit more "thickness" i suppose the word would be.

The one thing I will tell you is write whenever you can, not by schedule. I've told people I have an update schedule, and I sort of do, but I tend to shirk it because working on a schedule ruins me slightly.

I don't know if that counts as a secret to good and fast stories, but that's how I work. As you can see, the only two interesting stories I have right now is "Mightier Than The Sword", "Yoko Days", and "Don't Disappear On Me"; one of my earlier works. I think the key to a good story is whether or not the reader feels apart of the world you're describing. I've been known to make mistakes, but mistakes are easy to fix, and are great learning tools for improvement.

And finally, have fun! I write my stories because I want to see their ending. Sometimes its hard to, but...what can you do.

INFORMATION ON MULTIVERSERS AND ANTIVERSERS

MULTIVERSERS What people call self-inserts, taken to an all new level. A Multiverser is a person from our reality who ends up in another. With practice, they become forces to be reckoned with. Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent, they exist throughout multiple realities with the power to do whatever they wish, only limited by their imagination. While they do possess the ability to die, it is only possible when they so choose. So they remain immortal. The only thing capable of "killing" a Multiverser is another Multiverser of equal or exceeding power. To date, only these Multiversers exist:

Duncan Verser, the "Aspect of Chaos" and self-proclaimed ''King of the Multiversers." Duncan is known by many other titles throughout the Multiverse. A thrill-seeker at heart, he comes across as rather arrogant. However, he still strives to teach people to better themselves while increasing his own power, and retains enough of his quirks as a normal human being to keep himself relatively sane. Throughout his travels, he has done many horrible things in order to ensure peace, though he hopes his inevitable final act will be something truly good, not evil or morally gray. Michael Verser, the "Aspect of Victory", one of the first three Multiversers, and Duncan's protege. Michael is unique compared to other Multiversers after Duncan, as he is still receiving training from Duncan after going into his first world (believing its more fun to learn as he goes along). Another thing that makes him different from other Multiversers is that he still retains most of his sanity (possibly due to not experiencing eternity like other Multiversers), and as such is still the same as he was when he was human (though is starting to become a bit more and more like his mentor). Adam Verser, the "Aspect of Time," and one of Michael's closest friends. He also goes by the name of "Timeshifter," or "the Timeshifter of the Multiverse," due to him possessing the suit from the Timeshift video game, allowing him to freeze time for a moment. Not much else is known about him at the moment, other than his apparent sense of honor and willingness to protect the innocent and the weak. LaTrell Verser, the "Aspect of Power," is a young Multiverser who- like many others- gave his life to save someone. He was recruited by Michael to become a Multiverser. He also claims the role of "The God of the Multiverse." He is loyal, dependable, caring, adaptable, and responsive. Once his mind is set on something, there is no stopping him. He depends on his powers and weapons to help in most situations. He is good friends with Duncan (the King of the Multiverse), but has a fierce rivalry and strives to be better then the king. Prime Death, the "Aspect of Death'' of the Multiverse and the closest Multiverser to The End. His real name long forgotten, he grew up with difficulty expressing emotions, thus he took refuge in literature. He grew up seeing much death, both in real life and in fiction. This led him to question what Death was, exactly, up until he died. Duncan brought him to the Multiverse, where he wanted to understand everything about death itself. By the end, he became the embodiment of Death for all things in the Multiverse. His first act was to kill his past self before he was born, thus negating his old existence and cementing his new one as the Aspect of Death. Alexis Verser, the first female Verser and the "Aspect of Knowledge", Sexy Lexi (as she likes to call herself) is the team's mental powerhouse- as well as the biggest cum dumpster you can find (she has strict standards though). The only Verser besides Prime to not take on another person's role in another universe, as she refuses to live vicariously, she instead creates new identities from scratch to each world she goes to or just says "fuck it" and teleports there. Nerdy, a bit excitable, and a freak in bed, this slut will definitely charm (or blow, depending on if you're a hot single male who's sexually attracted to women) her way into your heart. Zack Verser is one of the newest Multiversers and the "Aspect of Dreams." He is unique from the other Multiversers in that he was unaware of his true nature until fairly recently. Zack is a big dreamer, both in his human life and in his Multiverser one. His main goal is to have peace in the Multiverse, an ideal that has become one of his most defining traits. Despite his want for peace, he acknowledges that peace is not always an option. Zack openly admits that he is no hero, by any stretch of the imagination. He is also one of the few Multiversers who does not incarnate himself as heroes and other characters, believing it to be stealing the accomplishments of those heroes and characters from them. Kay Verser, the "Aspect of Desire," and one of the three youngest Multiversers. Recruited by Michael and studying under him, Kay is a free spirited person that does what he wants, often blurring the line between hero and villain. After meeting Iussum for the first time, he took the words 'Sometimes it takes a monster to fight a monster' to heart. Willing to do what it takes to defeat his enemies, this has earned him the title of "Devil of the Multiverse." Dexter Verser, the "Aspect of the Psyche." He has a fascination with the inner-workings of the mind that it borders on obsessive at times, but otherwise he is a fairly chill guy. He is a firm believer in the phrase "We all go a little mad sometimes," and as such believes that while there is a "breaking point" in every person, there must also be a "fixing point." Whether or not he tries to find it, however, depends on how generally evil/dangerous the person in question is, and he has no qualms about killing if he thinks it is necessary. When travelling to new worlds, he has a preference for taking in a character as a mental roommate in hopes that he'll gain some insight into their characteristics and behaviour (due to his general fascination with how the mind works). The Master, the "Aspect of the Truth."

ANTIVERSERS: The best word to describe Antiversers are the anti-thesis of Multiversers. Created by a primordial entity known only as "The End," they serve as the perfect opposition to the Multiversers, as well as bring about The End's true goal: to destroy the Multiverse and return everything to nothingness. Each Antiverser has their own reason for doing what they do, but they all share the common goal of wanting to kill their Multiverser counterparts.

The Antiverser, leader of the Antiversers. Nearly nothing is known about this mysterious entity, other than that he holds an intense hatred for Duncan, he is a cyborg, and that he is the natural enemy of the Multiversers. He stands against everything Duncan stands for, and has but one goal: the death of Duncan Verser. A goal he will do anything to accomplish. He is confirmed to work for The End, the incarnation of non-existence that wishes to return everything to nothingness, so that nothing can ever come back from the ruins.
-Peaceful Vengeance: a dai-katana with a built in pistol in the handle, this blade is able to cut through anything. It is also capable of generating electricity, and is laced with "Negatium," an artificial element that is poisonous to Multiversers. Revealed to have once been the original Bright Shadow- the blade of Duncan Williams- before the death of its owner via seppuku, it now curses its recognized owner. Which, unfortunately, is seen as Duncan Williams (due to The Antiverser's prosthetic arms allowing him to wield the blade without being cursed by it).

Lucifer, the second Antiverser created. Once a Multiverser, this mysterious man has become disillusioned by his former life and now seeks to bring the Multiverse down, along with all who follow it. Unlike his leader, Lucifer tries to make sure there are no innocents caught in the crossfire, and is an extremely honorable person. He also possesses immense strength, as he is able to wield a sword twice as big as him with ease. He only puts up with his compatriots so he can end his adversary.
-Masamune: a crimson dai-katana, which stands at twice Lucifer's height. It is also laced with Negatium, meant to combat Multiversers.

Erebus is best described as a mirror version of LaTrell and the self-titled "God of Darkness," he was created by The Antiverser to destroy the self-titled "God of the Multiverse." Erebus makes the perfect solider, as he stays loyal to his master/creator. With his God Mode acquired from battle, he increases his powers by tenfold only by draining his energy.
-Ford and Tina: replicas of LaTrell's Mustang and Sally, though more deadlier due to the bullets being infused with Negatium.

The Agent was once the older sister of Adam Verser. After being captured by the Antiversers, The Agent was tortured and turned into a living weapon by The Antiverser for one purpose: to kill her brother. She possesses a great hatred for her brother (a result of her conditioning), and takes great pleasure in seeing him suffer.
-Undying Storm: a black shotgun with red skulls on the sides and a detachable cutlass built into it. It is made of pure Negatium and shoots Negatium bullets. As the Agent states, "it won't stop until you're dead."

Killer Prime, the Antiverser counterpart to Prime Death. Killer is the embodiment of those who take pleasure in killing others. He is prideful, pretentious, and sees the dead as losers who lost all value once they died. His goal is to either convince Prime to join the Antiversers or, failing at that, kill and absorb him in order to become the Amalgaverser, in order to rule over all creation. Being Prime's counterpart, he possesses the same powers as Prime.
-Punishment: Killer's personal weapon, a pitch black sword made from the glee murderers feel when killing their victims. Killer laces it with Negatium, in order to stand a better chance at defeating Prime.

Ezran is the Antiverser counterpart to Alexis, and is completely devoted to knowledge, willing to kill to get it. He was born to a poor family in the rural South in the early 1900s. His mother died giving birth to him, and he was forced to live with his father, whom he resembled and even shared a name with, though it is unknown at the time what it is. His father, a devout Christian, would regularly beat him for small or imagined slights, but the reason he was beaten most was because of his love of knowledge. His old man thought that any book that isn't the Bible or some other holy text was blasphemy, and regularly burned his son's books. Ezran, when he was older, decided to kill his father, but when he did his father shot him. The End saw this and took advantage of his love for knowledge, promising him treasure troves of it if he worked for him. So he did, and he changed his appearance and name to distance himself from the man he was once forced to call Father.
-Lana: Ezran's personal weapon. It's a rapier forged from the blood of hellhounds named after his mother. Laced with Negatium.

Iussum, Kay’s Antiverser counterpart. Was a former soldier that died because her former squadmates didn't follow orders and was twisted by The End into her Antiverser self. This led to her believing that order is needed in all things, so much so that she believes that stripping people of their free will to make them obedient dolls is for their best interests. After her first encounter with Kay, she sees him as a disappointment of a multiverser and will not take him seriously.
-Law: A white VHS 2 Assault rifle with a grenade launcher that Iussum used when she was human. It has since been modified to fight Multiversers by firing Negatium rounds.

Chalice, the Antiverser counterpart to Dexter. She is unique among the Antiversers, as unlike the others, she does not wish to harm her Multiverser counterpart. She is actually in love with him to the point of obsession and instead wishes to destroy everything/everyone he loves so that there is less to distract him from her. She implies that they've met before, but Dex doesn't yet recognise her.
-Love's Shackles: A pair of long chains forged from Negatium with blades on the end and tiny blades on the inside and outside of each chain link.

Personality: WIP

The Master is calm and stoic. He is very slow to anger and compassionate. He is willing to give any and all his enemies only one chance of redemption. He never lets his emotions drive his actions or words because he knows this is where people are at their most vulnerable to making mistakes. He maintains a very strict and discipline training routine which is the result of his mastery over any or all form of martial arts. The Master believes that pointless battles should not be battle at all. He acts as a guide for anyone who genuinely seeks guidance but not those who are clouded by negative emotions.

When training his students or apprentice, the Master is a disciplined teacher and will ensure his students will grow into the people they were meant to be. He is always ready to help his student learn new things for their benefit and guide them on a path to success. However, his method of teaching is rather…unorthodox, questionable, and ridicules leaving his students wondering why. The Master teaches his students about ignoring their feelings because feelings can be misleading and that they have to choose to accept it or not.

Even though the Master is a calm person, he can get extremely angry to anyone who dare harms innocent people, especially children. The Master will also become outright furious and attack anyone who dares to harm his family and children who cannot defend themselves.

•Chi: Chi is a kitty the Master found in the beginning of his journey. Initially, Chi did not like the Master for what she believed to be a ‘cat’napping, but overtime she has come to love the Master and wants to be with him forever. She was shocked that the Master is able to not only understand her but also communicate with her which made her life exciting. Chi is the Master’s first companion he took on his journey. Chi is mostly found on the Master’s head or shoulders.

•Maki: Maki is the Master’s personalized Assist-A-Roid. He can be distinguished from standard Assist-A-Roids based on his appearance and attire. Maki has short brown hair and wears a red bandana around his forehead. Maki wears a red and white fighter’s gi. Like most Assist-A-Roids, Maki answers only to the Master.

•Weighed Clothes: The Master is always wearing clothes that are deceivingly heavy. A normal set would totals up to 1,000,000 tons. A training set would totals up to 50,000,000 tons.

•Infinite Pocket: As a master of the Hajike Technique, the Master is capable of pulling out random items, either important items or useless junk (mostly useless junk), from behind nowhere even though he’s not carrying any form of baggage.

MULTIVERSER ABILITIES: WIP

Multiverser Powers:

•Aspect: As the Aspect of Truth, the Master can forces anyone to speak the truth and judge them whether the person should be punished or not. This power allows the Master to see anything he desires that is hidden beyond space and time. The power manifest has his eyes glow white.

•Omnipotence: Like all Multiversers, he is all-powerful and is capable of creating anything and everything. Unfortunately, the Master has yet to be able to truly access his Omnipotence.

•Omnipresence: The ability to be anywhere and everywhere at once. This is the ability that Multiversers use in order to exist throughout the Multiverse.

•Omniscience: The ability to know everything. However, the Master has yet to truly utilize this power to its full potential.

•Immortality: Like all Multiversers, he is incapable of dying. However, he can only truly die if he allows himself to die, or if he is killed by an equally or more powerful Multiverser/Antiverser.

Other Multiverser Powers:

•Perfect Regeneration: The Master is able to instantly regenerate lost body parts and recover for fatal wounds without repercussion. The Master can choose when to regenerate allow him an edge in battle against his enemies.

•Unlimited Endurance: Like most Multiversers, the Master his an unlimited endurance allowing to fight battle for an indefinite amount of time.

•Inhuman Strength: Over the course of the Master’s journey, his strength is only increasing. His biology allows him to fight many extremely powerful fighters on equal footing including other Multiversers.

•Inhuman Speed: The Master can travel long distances in mere moments. Unlike Omnipresence, the Master’s speed makes him appear to be in multiple locations within a small area.

•Transformation: Like all Multiversers, the Master has multiple transformations each with unique abilities specifically tailored to each form.

•Gifts: The Master can grant gifts to anyone he deems worthy. The gifts are unique powers specifically tailored to the individuals’ personalities.

•Energy Fusion: The Master has developed the ability to combine different forms of energy or power ranging from Ki to magic. Depending on the Master’s choice of energy, the number of energies, and the amount of time towards fusing, the Master can create limitless form of energy based attacks ranging from different size, speed, destructive power, and characteristics.

•Persona-Fusion and Diffusion: The Master can separate himself into any number of different personas. Each personas are specific personalities, attributes, or traits of the Master and they are not mentally linked together. The Master’s power is divided up equally among the personas resulting in the Master’s decrease in power, not to say that each personas are incapable of defending themselves. When needed to return to full power, all the personas must be present in order for then to fuse back together and become the Master.

•Ki: The Master has learn to control and manipulate his Ki to their full potential and possibly beyond. The Master is able to utilize Ki is many Ki base attacks and actions. As a master of Ki, the Master requires little to no effort to concentrate seeing as his Ki is second nature to him.

•Ki Attacks: The Master is capable of firing many types of Ki base attacks. The strengths of the attacks varies depending on how much Ki the Master is putting into his attacks.

•Zenkai Boost: With the body of a Saiyan, the Master’s strength will grow infinitely. If the Master is defeated in battle and recovers, the damage he takes will become his strength added to his already existing strength.

•Flight: As a master of Ki, the Master is able to fly by projecting Ki downward from his feet and pushing himself. The more Ki he release, the faster he can fly.

•Chakra: Like Ki, The Master has mastered his Chakra. Because of his mastery of his inner energy, he has affinity to all of the shinobi elements. He can also perform ninjutsus, genjutsus, taijutsus, etc., without flatter.

•Light Hawk Wings: The Master can summon the legendary Light Hawk Wings and the Light Saber. The blades from the katana and wings are razor sharp that they can cut anything like nothing. The Master is able to summon 6 pairs of energy-like wings, each one as deadly as the next.

•Consuming Ability: The Master gained the esper ability to eat anything and gain the perks or skills from what he eats. The more he eats of one thing, the specific skill will grow until it reaches its full potential which will result in eating the same thing becoming meaningless.

•Element Bending: The Master has master all the four elements from his journey in the world of the avatars. He is also capable of using the four elements’ sub-elements to their fullest.

•Eagle Vision: The Master obtained the unique ability to identify his hidden objectives and hidden enemies at first glance. He can use this ability to search for hidden secret within his field of vision.

•Enhanced Deductive Reasoning: Going hand in hand with Eagle Vision, the Master is able to spot specific and important details that are usually overlooked because of how seemingly unrelated they are. The Master has learned to think outside the box and determined cause and effect of events accurately with little information without using his aspect powers.

•Keyblade Magic: The Master is a master Keyblade wielder with the ability to call forth many keyblades from nonexistence.

•Biotics: Although reluctant to use this power, the Master can use biotics at astronomical levels. His level of biotics is similar to the Force of jedi masters or sith lords.

•Prothean Information Transfer: The Master gained the ability to transfer any form of information into objects for storage, or living being to teach them something instantly.

•Quirk: Quirk Modifier: The Master is capable of manipulating already existing quirks. His limitations are only imaginations. In order to use his quirk, he must have physical contact with someone to change their quirks.

•Devil Fruit Power: WIP

•Thu’um: The Master is fluent in the language of the dragons of Tamirel. The Master can speak the Thu’um with perfect accuracy and comprehension allowing him to create powerful attacks with high potency.

•The Wushi Finger Hold: The Master is able to banish any living thing to a spirit realm, a prison between the living world and the realm of the dead. Once a living thing is banished to the spirit prison, the prisoner is unable to escape.

•Psychic: The Master is able to read and influence the mind of a specific person. However, he can only perform this skill on one person at a time. If the person has a strong will and mind, the Master will have difficult reading his/her mind or cannot read the mind at all.

•Instant Transmission: The Master learned his technique from the Yardact race and mastered it allowing him to travel long distances instantly. However, the Master needs to focus to use this technique correctly.

•Fusion Dance: This Yardact technique allows the Master to fuse with another fighter of equal size and strength. This technique requires the Master and second fighter to perform a series of moves correctly to fuse together perfectly. However, if the any one moves is performed incorrectly, it will result in an incorrect transformation. When performed correctly, the two fusees will become a single entity of the two fusees’ strongest traits making them a more powerful person than either fusees. However, this form can only last, at best, one minute because Multiversers use too much power.

MARTIAL ARTS: WIP

Throughout his journey, the Master has acquired many fighting styles and techniques and a few weapon based style which require little to no technologies. As the name stated, he has mastered a plethora of the styles and perfected it beyond and adding in his Multiverser powers, the Master is able to switch between styles instantly making him nearly unpredictable.

Multiverse Balance of Destruction: This is martial art technique created by the Master based off the many styles he has acquired in his travels. This style was specifically designed for the Master to fight any one or more people of different strength, speed, skills, and size. While many styles have different weaknesses, the Multiverse Balance of Destruction has no weaknesses or openings. The Master is the only being capable of using this technique as of present time.

Multiverser’s Hero Style: This is a hand to hand combat style the Master taught the Multiverser, Michael Verser. The style trades strength for speed. Aside from the Master, Michael is the only being capable of using this technique as of present time.

Supreme Master: In this form, the Master enters a state of peace and balance with the Multiverse. His strength, speed, endurance, and skills skyrocketed making him nigh impossible to defeat. He can quickly calculate an entire battle within nanoseconds and learn how to defeat his enemies before the battle starts.

Dragon Ball Series:

•Great Ape: The transformation that requires the Saiyan’s tail and a glance at a moon. This form is a gigantic monkey and a 10 times power multiplier. The Master is capable of entering and exiting this state at will. The method to entering this form requires the Master to look at a full moon or create an energy ball to generate blutz waves. In this form, the Master has full control but develops a more animalistic behavior but most of his movements are heavily restricted due to the form’s great size. He can exits this state by one of two ways, cutting his tail or knocking himself out.

•Super Saiyan 1 – 4: Like the super saiyans, the Master’s power and energy increase by each form respectively. However, the Master has perfected each form allowing him to fight at peak condition and for longer duration.

Super Saiyan 1: This form has a 50 times power multiplier but the Master has achieved the full power Super Saiyan form which is a 400 times power multiplier.

•Super Saiyan God: One of the Master’s greatest challenge, in this form, the Master gains the godly ki allowing him to fight near the level of God of Destruction.

•Super Saiyan Blue: This form is combination of Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God. A balance between two completely contrasting powers.

•Super Saiyan Berserker: This form is one of the Master’s least used. This form ultimately is a double edge sword. The Master gains a tremendous amount of power but sacrifices his cognitive function to differentiate friend or foe. This form is usually used when the Master is alone with his enemy, and even in that situation, he rarely uses it.

•Ultra Instinct: The Master can enter a state of Mastery of Self-movement. His body acts faster than light and adapt to the battle quickly. While the Master does not need to think when dodging, the Master’s strength does not change because he requires thoughts before action.

•Super Saiyan X: This version of Super Saiyan is the Master’s combination of Super Saiyan Blue and Perfect Ultra Instinct. This form is a last resort form if and only if necessary. Ranma 1/2: Dog: If the Master is douse with cold water, he is forcefully transformed into a red corgi dog. In order to return to human form, the master must be douse with warm water.

MECHA/SHIPS: WIP

•Infinite Stratos Suit: The Master wears a bracelet that can summon his own personal mechanized battle suit. This suit is equipped to with massive fists allowing the Master to hit his enemies hard and fast.

•Zinv: The Master can call forth a gigantic humanoid mobile suit where the Master can enter and take control. Zinv was piloted by two legendary users, Katsuki, and Senna Yamada. It is able to distort the Laws of Physics and alter space and time at will. Zinv can amplify the Master’s Light Hawk Wings powers making Zinv and the Master one being with physics defying powers.

•Super Zinv: If the Master goes Super Saiyan while controlling Zinv, Zinv will undergo a metamorphosis transforming and empowering it. Depending on which form the Master chooses, Zinv will change accordingly to the different Super Saiyan forms.

•Ultimate Zinv: If the Master transform into his Supreme Master form, Zinv gains a massive boost in power and his external body becomes lustrous and bright silver in color.

•Seikishin/Sacred Mechalord: The Master can summon a sacred Mechalord to fight his enemies. This mecha suit evolves along with the Master and is his fastest suit. The suit functions similar to other mechaloids, but because of the Master’s endless stamina, he can pilot the suit for as long as he wants.

•Kyūkyoku no Keiji (Ultimate Revelation): A massive Juraian warship the size of a planet.

•Sora no Otoshimono - Angeloids: The Master has formed a bond with the Angeloids, Ikaros, Ikaros Melan, Nymph, Astraea, Chaos, Gammas, and Oreganos, and can summon any one from the Synapse to aid him in battle. Each angeloid has imprinted onto the Master and will serve his every wish and desire, no matter what. Luckily for them, the Master treats them like family.

•Cat Planet Cuties - Assist-A-Roid: The Master can grow a small army of Assist-A-Roids by planting a Catian seed into ground where the droids instantly grow. Their purpose is to serve the Master to their full extent. They work together in numbers and if they are destroyed the last Assist-A-Roid will sprout the same seed to regrow them again.

•Bobobo-Bo-Bo-Bobo - Gag Characters: As a master of the Hajike (Wig Out) Technique, the Master is able to summon gag characters, human or not, with no particular role in the battle except to confuse his enemies and allies. This create utterly stupid situations where only the Master can comprehend.

•Bleach - Equilibrium: The Master can summon his zanpakuto’s spirit to fight his enemies. Equilibrium takes the appearance of a young woman with long straight black hair reaching down her waist. She has curvy body with large breast. She wears a long one piece white gown and is blindfolded. In her right hand is her zanpakuto and on her left hand is a large blue orb. The blue orb acts as an indicator allowing Equilibrium to distinguish truth and lie by changing color. Truth is green. Lie is red. Equilibrium is fiercely loyal to the Master and only answer to him. She prefers not to speak to anyone, or other zanpakuto spirits unless it involve the Master.
