Author has written 5 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist, Merlin, and Ranger's Apprentice. UPDATE July 19, 2018: Heh... It's been a while, hasn't it? I probably should be writing right now, but I need a break and decided to update this, especially after reading over it. I basically just took out a lot of the junk and replaced it with actually relevant information. To the curious reader who has stumbled upon this page, welcome. I'm known as Endless Stars. I haven't been writing much but I've been reading fanfictions here for quite awhile and pretty consistently. I write fanfictions for anime/manga, books, and anything else that might gain the attention of my mind. At the moment, I'm reading and writing: Ranger's Apprentice (I've been sucked back into this series recently and I have TONS of ideas! So excited :) ) Fullmetal Alchemist (Mostly just lurking around, looking at new stories. I have a story of my own in mind, but we'll see...) Merlin (I mostly just feel guilty for not continuing the long fanfic I put up on this site years ago, but there are still some interesting stories I keep finding in this fandom) Percy Jackson (looking for good stories, open to recommendations. Unfortunately, I mostly see stories with the characters, mostly Percy, wildly OOC. While I understand why (AU and for plot reasons), I still prefer stories exploring character relationships in depth with all of them IC or at least the author clearly trying to keep them IC. I also prefer the canon pairings here which the people on the site don't seem to like as much as I'd think) Hamilton (I've seen a couple of cute stories, want to see more but don't have any ideas for this fandom on my own) Star Wars (I've always loved the movies, but I never really bothered looking into many fanfics for it for some reason. Pretty awesome so far!) Ninja Turtles (Mostly just reading and exploring) Pillars of Reality Series (IDK why I like this series so much, but I do. There's only one fanfic written for it so far, so I want to contribute but have no ideas :( Definitely recommend any bored soul out there to check out this audiobook series. It's not perfect, but it's very entertaining!) Hetalia (Why do I like this series so much? Why can I never quite escape this fandom?! Btw I fully and proudly admit that I'm mainly in this fandom for the Nordics and they are by far my favorite characters. All of them.) Supernatural (Recently got back into the fandom, love this series and highly recommend it if you haven't watched it for some reason) Six of Crows (Probably my personal favorite book series of all time, seriously deserves way more love, but there is at least a fair amount of good fics here for the series. I've never seen a book do representation of such a diverse range of characters so well) Probably more, I'll add them whenever I remember and feel like it... maybe. I jump around a lot of different fandoms a lot Past Stories: My four stories from back in 2015 are on indefinite hiatus, with the possible exception of the Merlin one. I lost the outlines for all of them and I really lost motivation. Of course coming back to writing now, I feel the urge to finish them, but for now I make no promises. Sorry for anyone still reading them. I also decided to not take any of them down, even if I never finish, because I know how sad I get when a story I'm reading- even one that will never get finished- is taken down. I want to give anyone who actually enjoys these stories the chance to look back on them, because that's what I would want as a reader. Current Stories/ Stuff I'm Currently Working On: I (try to) update my progress here weekly Fall Apart:My top priority at the moment. I have every intention of finishing this and word count wise, this is the farthest I've ever gotten with a fanfic. My hopes are very high so far, but I know from experience not to make any definite promises. These chapters and long and can take a while to create, so updates may be slow. Don't be too concerned if it takes several months for a chapter, though I will try to keep updating every 1-3 weeks (big range, I know). CURRENT STATUS: Chapter 7 in progress. Since these chapters have gotten so long, I don't think I'll be able to get it out in a week, so I'm aiming for a week and a half or two weeks Ideas for Future Stories: Most of these are at least partially outlined, just contact me if you want any of them written :) The Last Light (Ranger's Apprentice): Super weird AU in which the sun mysteriously disappears when Morgarath had been defeated and also disappeared. Magic is involved and long story short, it's all Morgarath's fault. Fifteen years pass and the world has survived with the help of "sun stones", which have somehow been granted some of the sun's power/light and glow and become heated during "daytime", just like the sun used to. The world has been searching for a way to bring back the sun all this time, even as it adjusts to an eternal night. The story mostly begins at the same time as the first book, in which Will is apprenticed to Halt. He has strange magical burns on one of his arms, has a tendency to fall ill to high fevers, and Redmont Fief has become the capital of sun stones, which are found in an odd abundance there, leading Halt to eventually realize that his apprentice is somehow connected to the curse. (Tried my best to summarize it quickly, has a rather long and intense plot, so I want to finish my current projects before I tackles this thing) Snowed In (Ranger's Apprentice):Shorter multi-chapter fic dealing with how Will, Halt, and Gilan deal with the first winter after the events of books 2-4, because they've actually been through some pretty traumatic stuff that the books kind of glossed over and I am fully ready to exploit for a good story. Exactly as stated in the title, they end up snowed in at Halt's cabin and deal with issues and various threats of an insanely cold, long winter. Has a side plot with dealing with a crazy serial killer trapped in Redmont fief due all the snow to spice things up. Also includes a sick Will! (This entire story is basically just an excuse for some good ol' hurt/comfort and fluff :) ) Betrayal (Ranger's Apprentice):During a mission gone very wrong in a foreign country, Horace stabs Will in the guts in a desperate attempt to save them both. Now, he and Gilan must keep Will alive and hidden and figure out a way back home, while they all try to deal with what Horace has done. (Really want to write this, but I'm setting it aside for later since I want focus on my current main fic) A Mission for a Dead Man (Ranger's Apprentice): On an undercover mission to save Araluen, among many other countries, Will must fake his own death. Nobody but Crowley can know. The reactions of his other friends and allies, however, are rather drastic to say the least... (Basically an excuse for angst, torturing some of my favorite characters, and killing Will without actually killing him) The Courier's Apprentice (Ranger's Apprentice): A rough idea of an AU story following Alyss and her adventures as an apprentice, where she's a lot more involved in the events of the earlier books. (IDK, sounds fun. I'll write this whenever I get to) To Create a Kingdom (Ranger's Apprentice): Basically an AU in which the series is based on colonial America rather than medieval England. Morgarath is the King while Will and the others are rebels determined to gain their independence. It will kind of be a parallel to the American Revolution, but with some twists and turns since I want the story to be a bit more unpredictable. It will also go beyond just the revolution and include other adventures based on the actual books but with America as the setting instead. (Loosely inspired by Hamilton, but not really the same story which is why I didn't label this as a crossover or Hamilton AU) Echoes of the Past (Ranger's Apprentice): Modern AU! When a mysterious man known only as Daniel saved Halt's life, the Ranger made a promise to keep his son safe. The Ranger Corps and the rest of the country seems to want the boy dead however. Suddenly on the run, Halt's determined to keep baby Will safe and figure out why so many people want him dead, even if he himself dies in the process. (Actually have half a chapter written, but I'm putting it aside later to focus on other projects The Rockwall Alchemist (Fullmetal Alchemist): AU in which Winry is the alchemy genius while Ed and Al are the automial geniuses. After a failed attempt at Human Transmutation, Winry Rockbell goes to the military to try return her body back to normal, having lost both her legs and an arm in the process, and to help the world with the skills she's earned. She becomes the Rockwall Alchemist and becomes fascinated with the Philosopher's Stone. When she breaks her automail for the fifth time in one month however, her automail mechanics and childhood friends Ed and Al join the military as well to help her on her journey. (Not sure who would be interested in this, but please let me know if you are cuz I'd actually really like to write it! I'll probably write it eventually anyway, but still it'd be nice to know if anybody out there would like to see it) Time Forgotten (Fullmetal Alchemist): Time travel AU. When Colonel Mustang goes to Resembool, he discovers the graves of Edward and Alphonse Elric, two alchemy prodigies who paid the ultimate price for attempting Human Transmutation. He returns to East City and goes on with his life, but he can't quite shake the heavy sense of loss weighing on his heart. Then he discovers a state alchemist watch that's much more than it seems. It's then that he realizes something is horribly wrong. (Can't wait to write it, when I have more time and fewer already active/published stories, I'll get to it) Other Important Stuff About Me/ Opinions: Romance: I'm not the biggest fan of romance, though I'm usually fine with canon pairings of any series I read/watch and I have a some ships that I really do adore, mainly because I've seen well done fics of them or if they were really an awesome pair in the canon series. I've listed some below: Ranger's Apprentice: Halt/Pauline, Horace/Cassandra, basically the canon PJO/HoO: Percabeth, Caleo, Frazel, basically any canon pairing in the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series Hetalia: Sufin, HongIce, PruHun, AusHun, LietBel, LietPol, among others and too many to list them all here (Not too rigid on ships as you can see...) Tomstar (From SVTFOE, fight me.) Mari/Alain (Pillars of Reality), I love that they're together right from the beginning of the series and we can see a couple actually being a couple for once rather than have them dance around each other, eventually forcing me to turn to fanfiction to actually see their relationship become a thing and see what happens whenever they finally get together Too lazy to add more right now Stuff I like to read/write: I love friendship/family centered fics, which should be abundantly obvious if you skim through any part of my profile/account. I'm also a fan of really long fics with a good plot so I won't have to search for a new fic too soon. Also I'm a big sap who adores cheesy moments in a story. Anyway, since that's what I like to read, that's the stuff I mostly want to write, though I can appreciate any kind of well written fic. Reviews: I honestly feel bad for not reviewing more often. I've only ever written two reviews. With that said, I really want to review more and most of the fics I'm currently reading are complete and have been completed a while ago, so I often don't feel the urge to review (I usually use filters to find fics I want to read). So, if you have a story you want me to review in any of the fandoms I've mentioned in this profile (either yours or someone else's), feel free to PM me or something. I'll be happy to help out (note that I'll probably give Constructive Criticism so if you're not looking for that, I might not be the reader you're looking for). I guess I could become a beta reader but I'm honestly not confident enough to do that yet, so for now, I'll just try and give reviews to those who I think will appreciate it. Recommendations: I have a LOT of fics I like, but I've found five fics that I consider to be the among the best things I've ever read period (as in not just the best fanfics I've read, but things in general). They're mostly family centered fics (what a surprise), except for one. They're also all super long (again, what a surprise...). Honestly, they're all pretty similar in a way. I guess these are just the types of fics I like to read. If I find any more fics I like this much, I'll update this list whenever I remember to. Anyway, I've listed them below in random order (cause I love them all equally): Eclipse by Milan:Draco swore revenge on Harry for Lucius's imprisonment, and for once, he keeps his promise. The old rivalry turns deadly when Draco abducts Harry for Voldemort. But when Draco’s world turns upside down, the fight to save himself and Harry begins. HD, COMP (Harry Potter) Comments: I'm actually not a big fan of HD (Harry/Draco) or even Harry Potter in general, which is why it's not mentioned in the romance section. But this fic is so well done that I actually love this pairing here (and here only) and somewhat got sold on the ship (still not sure how I found it in the first place though, lol). It's the longest of all these fics, but I think that makes me adore it even more. It develops the relationship between Harry and Draco so well and it does a very good job of getting me emotional and teary-eyed. Bargaining by proantagonist: Faced with an eternity without his brother, Loki strikes a bargain to change the past. Post TDW. (NOW COMPLETE) (Thor) Comments: Another fic from a fandom I rarely visit. I stumbled upon this a couple years ago and did not expect the emotional rollercoaster I was in for. Loki's development and the writing in this are SO amazing! Can't recommend this enough (or any of these fics honestly)! Dies Felices by Jedi Sapphire: Gabriel has a proposition: on November 2, 1983, Sam dies instead of Mary. Sam goes straight up to Heaven, bypassing a miserable life and the horror of the Cage. His family has relative peace. Sam says no. If only it were that simple. (Supernatural) Comments: I've rarely seen first person POV done well in fanfiction and this happens to be the best first person POV fanfic I've ever read! It doesn't feel unnatural at all and it captures the personality of Sam Winchester so well and is so unique! I love the conflicts between the Winchester brothers here and something about the ending (and this entire fic in general) really tugs at my heartstrings. Equally Cursed and Blessed by Mina1: Luke Skywalker, battered and bruised after his collision with destiny on Bespin, is called upon by the Alliance for a desperate rescue mission that goes horribly wrong. There's only one person who can save him: his father. Shameless Luke & Vader. COMPLETE (Star Wars) Comments: I actually love all the stories this author has written. I definitely recommend her fics for anyone who's in the Star Wars fandom if they somehow haven't stumble upon her yet, especially if you like stories centered on Luke, Vader, and Leia, as they are usually the three main focus of her stories (and they are written and developed wonderfully). This particular story happens to be my favorite since it's long and I find myself rereading this one the most out of all her stories (I only reread stories I really like and I've reread almost all of her stuff at least once I think. Same for the rest of the fics on this list) Come Morning Light by SharkbaitSekki:When a nuclear blast on the island of Japan destroys all of the families and dreams within its radius, all that is left in the aftermath is to rebuild something -anything- out of the debris. Back to back, heart to heart, it's a long way up for the kids who have seen their lives go down in flames. But for those who make it, there is nothing left to do but admire the view. (Haikyu) Comments: The emotions, action, suspense, drama, and all that other jazz are all so well done here! And on top of all that, it juggles so many different POVs and moves onto a new one every chapter, never having the same POV character twice, but still manages to be not only cohesive and also not at all distracting and very natural. Everyone gets some character development, I've definitely gotten teary eyed a few times, and the different POVs also really help to provide both inside and outside views of ALL the characters (As in the entire Karasuno team!!! And OTHERS!!!). Out of all the fics on this list, this one also has the saddest, most bittersweet ending, but it's really fitting and I guess not every story can end in sunshine and rainbows. SO good, can't recommend it enough. I actually don't think you even have to be familiar with Haikyu to read this fic, so if you have some time to spare, definitely give this a shot! None of these fics are perfect, since there is no perfect fic, but I personally love these stories (flaws and all) and their authors for writing them and would recommend them to anyone, maybe even if they weren't familiar with the series/fandom. *Note: IDK why everything's underlined. The site keeps messing up my formatting and I can't figure out how to fix it :( |
