I love action, horror, and smexy scenes. Hello! This is a message to those following Invictus. It's been 2 years since I've touched it and, yet, the messages still come in. I'm completely shocked. Whether it's good feedback or bad feedback, I honestly didn't think my fanfic would amount to much. I thought it'd be forgotten after a few months. Still, to this day people are still messaging me about it or talking about it.

As for the big question on whether I'll update it: I haven't forgotten it. I had to take a break. The last chapter I was writing was a bit frustrating for me. And there was a long period of writer's block and depression I was going through at the time. It prompted me to join a very nice FF7 RP club to get my writing juices flowing again. Still, it's been a struggle for both my writing and my art.

I'm still writing, believe it or not. :) Writing other stories. I'm learning to fall in love with writing again, which is what I need to continue Invictus. But it is taking me a while to be acquainted with it again. There were so many ideas I created at the time of posting, that I'm having to remember them again in order to advance. As for that chapter I was working on, I may scrap it and turn up the pace. I want to work on editing and cutting out unnecessary fat.

Also, for those having issues with the sexuality exploration content, Invictus was always meant to be an exploration of sexual identity for Cloud. Cloud will continue to explore those concepts in all their shades until he finds the persona that suits him best. This was why I wanted to write Invictus. I wanted explore sexual identity on top of other questions. But even more, I wanted to show an example of HOW WELL Cloud adapts to different personas, whether they're female oriented or male. It's meant to foreshadow his personality switch in FF7.

As a writer, it's my job to plant the concepts down. As readers, it's the readers' job to apply and decipher those concepts. Explicitly explaining why Cloud does this or why I went in this direction defeats the whole purpose of writing a narrative and getting readers to engage with it. No scene or idea is written without intention. As for any other issues, I'll be the first to say I can't please everyone. Nor do I want to.
