The name's Ivy. I'm a small grass snake like Pokémon with green skin, a pointed nose and a large leaf at the end of my tail. I enjoy Pokémon Human romances, Poképhilia and sunbathing on a large rock. My main purpose on this site has been to write a Pikashipping Alternative to the Pokémon XY series and explore the beautiful relationship between Ash and Pikachu in a deeper way than the anime does. I should warn you, that some readers may find parts of my work to be rather badly written and incompetently thought out. I hope not. But we shall see...

Favourite Pokémon: Pikachu, Snivy, Oshawott, Emolga, Axew, Zorua, Riolu, Lucario, Mienfoo, Flygon, Dragonite, Salamence, Quilava, Samurott, Eevee and it's evolved forms. Pretty much anything cute and animal like.

Least Favourite Pokémon: Bunneary, nearly all Ghost types, Hoopa, Excadrill, Most Ground types expect Flygon and Gible's line, Hawlutcha, Froakie and it's evolutionary line, Porygon and it's evolved forms, Malamar

Favourite shippings

1. Pikashipping (Ash x Pikachu): My absolute favourite shipping in the Pokémon fandom and probably the most canonical shipping (Yes, more so than Amourshipping). Pikachu has been with Ash since the very start and it's unlikely he's going to leave it any time soon. Pikachu and Ash have an amazing bond and it's really clear how close they are. They clearly love each other and care about each other very deeply. Ash shows that how he understands how Pikachu feels. They always in sync when they battle together and Pikachu is always trusts Ash to make the right decision and as a result they have been able to beat opponents that they otherwise wouldn't have been able to. The way Pikachu always happily fights for Ash, constantly enjoys nuzzling him, always sits on his shoulder, licks his face and has even risked his life for Ash clearly shows he is deeply in love with Ash. And Ash returns the feelings given how he is always affectionate towards pikachu, always supports Pikachu in battle and thanks him for doing his best regardless of whether he wins or looses. And how he always gets really angry if someone tries to hurt pikachu or take him away or is always depressed and stressed when he and Pikachu are apart. He's risked his life for Pikachu on so many occasions. He wuvs his Pika and Pika wuvs him. There soulmates. I should add that given Pikachu is male in the anime it would make Ash and Pikchu a same sex couple. There is no reason to change Pikachu or Ash's gender to make it heteronormative anymore than there is a need to turn Serena into a boy for for Amourshipping.

2. Overattractionshipping (AshxSnivy): I like this ship because it's rather cute. Ash's Snivy is one of my favourite Pokémon, second only to Pikachu. There's not much evidence for it other than the fact that in Snivy plays hard to catch she spends some of the episode thinking about Ash sacrificing himself for Pikachu and begins to realises he's a caring and capable trainer. She had previously abandoned her trainer for an unknown reason but stuck with Ash. Why? Maybe she likes him. Despite her usually cold exterior she may hold a soft spot in her heart for Ash. She's happy to let Ash hold her, she shares the moment when they win battles and she supports Ash's other Pokémon. I think it's clear Ash cares for her to. He even got a little upset and jealous and refused to let Iris battle with her in Emolga and the new volt switch. This is interesting as he did allow Misty to battle with Bulbasaur in the first series and even let some random old lady fight with Pikchu against him in Cooking Up a Sweet Story! That suggests he has feelings for Snivy and wants to protect her. He was also very concerned when she and Oshawott ran off in Emolga and the new volt switch.

3. Shippings involving Lucario x trainer: I love Lucario. There one of my favourite Pokémon. I see them being a species that form strong bonds with their trainers considering they evolve from friendship. I can easily see them falling in love with their trainers.

Hated shippings:

1. Amourshipping (AshxSerena): At the moment this is my most hated shipping. Serena in my opinion is a terrible character. Serena's character at least initially premises on a crush she has on Ash and she has received little character development outside of this. She did not have have her own goal for the most part of the XY series until the introduction of the Pokémon showcases and did not capture her first Pokémon until around about the 60th episode. There is a very strong heterosexist "Me Tarzan, You Jane," understanding of gender, romance that comes across in the way both her character and the crush are played out. Some of Serena's traits seem to revolve around Ash such as keeping a dirty napkin she had on her sore knee for years and getting jealous when Penelope wanted Ash to visit the kindergarten with her. Unfortunately this means that anything that falls outside the heteronormative field of visibility such as Ash falling in love with Pikachu isn't taken as seriously. This is a shame given Ash has a real bond with Pikachu, which is often shown to be quite deep.

2. Lagomorphshipping (PikachuxBuneary): I mainly hate this shipping because I have a bit of a prejudice against Buneary. I think the design of Buneary is kinda ugly. It's an attempt by the designers to make something that's supposed to be cute but isn't. While Bunneary has a crush on Pikachu it's one sided. Pikachu was kind to her but he never licked her, or nuzzled her or did anything else that showed he returned her feelings. By contrast he licks and nuzzles Ash on a regular basis.

3. Pokéshipping (AshxMisty): I dislike Misty because she is both aggressive and mean towards Ash for a lot of the series. While she did seem to develop feelings for him a relationship would not work. The would fight too much and I see them getting divorced very quickly.

4. Any Ash x female companion pairing (e.g. Dawn, Misty, May, Serena): I'm basically not interested and even somewhat against in any heterosexual relationship. I've never found there to be any compelling evidence that Ash's relationship with any of the girls he travelled with was anything more than platonic and in the case of Misty strained. I will never write (and am unlikely to favourite) a story where Ash is "straight for Serena" or any other of his travelling companions. In my work heterosexual relationships will only receive any exploration if they are between a human and a Pokémon or between two Pokémon. Personally I think it's rather disappointing that some fans will document how much they dislike Pokémon/human or same sex shippings due to heterosexism, extreme heteronormativity and outright homophobia. Quite a few comments on profile pages disparaging about yaoi or Pokémon/human constitute terribly homophobic microaggressions.

I still try to answer readers questions whenever I get them. Admittedly I haven’t had that much time to do so recently. My personal life has been a little bit busy over the last few months thanks to moving away from home, starting a new full time job and still trying to finish graduate school. It’s constrained my time both to write and publish, hence I haven’t published much recently. I can only try to do better.

I meant to ask earlier what is your opinion of Raichu i only ask because Raichu is my favorite pokemon

i did not waste weeks reading the whole of the first story, and catching up on this one, then waiting months for updates, just for this to change my favorite pairing so far into a harem, i swear to fuck if you do

First off I should apologise to my readers for making them wait so long for updates. The fact is that I've had other aspects of my personal life distract me and I've been suffering from a bout of writers block - That's why suggestions and requests are always welcome and appreciated, although I reserve the right as to whether I follow up on them or what spin I put on it.

Second I note the overall negative response to the hints at the formation of an Ash harem. It's a shame because Oshawott is one of my favourite Pokémon, probably my second favourite after Pikachu, and there is a general lack of followershipping fan-fiction out there. I suppose some readers feel a little miffed that I've built this close relationship between Ash and Pikachu just to have it change at this point. I'm trying to make the characters romantic journeys as genuine as I can. I'm still not sure what direction I'll go in at this point.

Third, a reminder to readers to remember that as the author I reserve the right to determine the story plot and, while I know this comment is clearly meant jokingly, to please keep criticism and feedback constructive.

Hmmm, Oshawott instead of Greninja, interesting

The reason Oshawott instead of Greninja is simple. I like Oshawott a lot. It’s easily a second or third favourite Pokémon and my favourite of all starters. It has a simple, cute design and, in the case of Ash’s Oshawott, a fun, warm and comic personality. In addition it’s final evolved form Samurott is a perfect blend of cute and tough. Greninja on the other paw I don’t like. Not at all – It’s my least favourite water starter and a general ‘meh’ Pokémon. I mean seriously – it looks like a mutant oversized frog and it wears it’s tongue like a scarf. Seriously gamefreak WTF. It’s personality in the anime is also overrate, largely being the cliché repeat of the tough, cool and determined demeanour of Buizel and Sceptile, almost copies Snivy’s backstory and uses Ninja and marital art caricatures to promote skill and strength that are overused in this style of anime. Despite that however it seems to be popular among the fandom even winning a popularity contest in Japan.

That being said, at least as an initial concept, Ash-Greninja is inspired. A change trigged by the bond the two of them share, that results in Ash feeling the pain his Pokémon feels and even makes him feel like he’s a part of Greninja. The possibilities for story writing that flow from that are almost endless. However, it’s unfortunate that the anime has not done a very good job at presenting this. The development of this “Syhcro evolution” power have resulted in several episodes devoted specifically to Greninja since the “Showcase masterclass” arch ended and we barely get to see Ash’s other Pokémon battle anymore. Even Pikachu, who won the first three gym battles hasn’t had a proper battle since the forth gym. Worse, the league which usually spreads evenly among Ash’s Pokémon and sometimes showcases older Pokémon is shaping up to be Greninja’s personal spamfest. They may as well retitle XYZ as Pokémon: the adventures of the amazing Greninja.

As a fan of Pikachu, Oshawott and Snivy I feel somewhat cheated by what they’ve done with Greninja. It’s being elevated to a pedestal higher than even Charizard as is being set up to be one of Ash’s strongest Pokémon while the Unova team suffers general unpopularity due to the sad performance at the Unova League. In Best Wishes Pikachu was solely responsible for loosing Ash a tournament he should have won due only to a type advantage and plot amour and Snivy who shares some of Greninja’s personality and backstory ends up with one of the worst win loss ratios of all of Ash’s Pokémon. She also went down in the Unova league to Cameron’s Riolu solely because of it’s evolution despite winning initially. Greninja thanks to it’s new power looks set to carry Ash through the league and may even win it for him. This is something no other Pokémon has ever done – they’ve all had a league defeat at some point. It’s looking like Greninja may not even get a defeat at the Kalos league, which is unfair given even the nightly Charizard fell to Blaziken, and some of Ash's best Pokémon, Sceptile, Heracross and Pikachu were swept from Sinnoh by a Mary Sue's Darkrai and Latios.

Wow you know I think you should have nova follow the same theme of ashachu. Where nova can also use aura therefore making jimmy an aura guardian, hey I mean there has to be more than just ash at one point. Also typloshion can be the son of Enti giving nova extra powerful flames that could turn blue when combined with his aura. Hey man it all just makes sense in my head

The reason I did not reply to the comments is simply because I have not had time. I was away from my home between the 14th and 19th of July 2016 and did not have access to the internet therefore making me unable to update my profile. As I'm writing this I only arrived home from the Airport about two hours ago. Please be aware that like every user of this site, writing is a hobby and while I'm normally able to find decent amounts of time to write I do have other professional and personal things that I need to accomodate. Also I don't like to spend too long providing answers here as it takes time that I could spend writing.

In respect to your idea - I don't want to give too much of a spoiler here so I'm going to keep my answer concise. I really like some parts of it, such as Jimmy having a Cyndaquil called Nova, however other parts aren't what I had in mind with the story. I'm not doing to write a love triangle between Hunter, Ashachu and Nova the Cyndaquil for three reasons. Firstly because it's not entirely consistent with how I perceive Ashachu's character. Ashachu is still working out his own sexuality and feelings towards Hunter and Sniveon so he isn't likely to randomly form a crush on another Pokémon. He may start noticing that he has desires and feelings towards other Pokémon, but not necessarily to that extent. Secondly, I already had something similar in mind using a different Pokémon. Thirdly, Cyndaquil shippings aren't my favourite. I prefer Quilava.

Question will jimmy become essential to the storyline and/or join ash's group?

To be honest this was not where I was going when I wrote him into the last Chapter. Jimmy and Typhlosion were simply meant to a cameo referring the "legend of thunder" trilogy from Pokémon Chronicles. I'm actually surprised that they're so popular based on less than 200 words worth of dialogue, with three reviewers asking for more of them. Certainly I could write them into the script or write something with the two of them in, but I'll need to think about it.

In actual fact, neither did I, until about 5 minutes before I wrote that section. Chapter 15 - An Explosive Operation, which features the Gym Leader and Ash's former companion's return is based almost entirely on an episode from the XYZ anime with the same name. In that episode Alain reveals to Team Rocket that he's working for Lysandre and helps Aliana and Celosia capture Z2. Originally I was going to give Alain's role in that episode to another Cipher Admin. But then I decided that didn't have enough shock value and I wanted to have a character similar to Alain show up in the episode, and given I'd had a lot of success using Misty as a villain in Beauty in Love, reintroducing her here seemed to fit.

This is a great suggestion. I almost certainly will incorporate Hunter talking to Lucario about his feelings into a future chapter. It won't be the next chapter however. I've already written most of the next three chapters and they deal with Meowth and Servine's relationship, so Hunter and Ashachu will have to wait until after that.

You'll find out soon enough I'm sure... I probably wouldn't kill Pikachu off because he's my favourite Pokémon and character. Killing him would break my heart. Plus it's a shipping story so I suppose it ought to have a happy ending...Few Amourshipping stories end with Serena's death... But I'm not ruling anything out.

Why thank you so much. Always a pleasure to hear such supportive statements. I'm not sure what will happen to Ash and Oshawott other than it will be similar to Ash and Greninja in the anime. That is where I got the idea. It may not work in the anime itself but as a stand alone concept it's ingenious. As for the possibility of Hikari being a Zygarde core - Very good. I'm not saying your right. But you're very good.

I'm not entirely sure what this is about but it sounds like the author of the post sold his wife for an internet connection to play a computer game. I hope this is not the case as this would not only be horribly immoral, the sale of humans as property is a serious violation of International Human Rights law. I do not play counter strike or any other computer game. This statement has no relevance to either my story or Pokémon so I have no idea what it's doing in my review stack. In future comments that aren't relevant will be deleted and the user leaving them blocked.

Yes. That is where I got the idea. I'm not 100% behind the idea of the Ash-Greninja in the actual anime, mainly because I dislike Greninja and it's pre-evolved forms it's designs being far less cute than than the Oshawott line (all the generation VI starters were disappointing after the exceptional Unova starters), and feel Ash should simply have been given an actual mega evolution. In fact I've been rather critical about it writing it off as a badly conceived clayton's mega designed to prevent Ash using the real thing. However, that's not to say that as a stand alone idea it doesn't have it's merits. I particularly liked the idea of the connection between Ash and Greninja and the fact that Ash feels what Greninja feels, so I'm replicating it with Oshawott (my second favourite Pokémon).

I've thought about having Ashachu and Hunter be a couple myself and I'm not sure. It would be a cute pairing but they both still quite young and nearly everyone else in this story has a partner. I've put up a poll so readers can decide for themselves from a range of options. So far only one person has voted and it was for Hunter x Sniveon.
