The twenty third of December 2012, we all seem to have survived the Winter Soltice; so when is the world supposed to end next? I still love HP (at least the first four books with a nodding acceptance of the fifth one) and prefers at least a token respect to cannon. I like Love, Fluff, WAFF, Romance and Happiness. I am well aware that my stories are a lot happier than normal cannon, but there is nothing in cannon that states Harry can't be happy.

I will state now, (7th March 2007) that if soul pieces become an issue I will dispose of them by throwing them through the veil in the Department of Mysteries.

Revised thoughts: the first four books fit together perfectly; book five was a so so fit; books six and seven were a totally different characters in a very different story. Like it or not, the series was originally published as a childrens story, there are people in it that could not exist in an adult story, be it fiction or not.

Snape is a juvenile sadist who never ever taught a class, History of Magic is a farce, in most years Defence is a waste of time, Hagrid . . . need I go on. There would be a constant barrage of Howlers from angry parents to The Department of Magical Education, The Board of Governers . . . Greater good Bumblemore couldn't possibly survive. So it has to be a children's story; ergo books six and seven should be returned to the author to be rewritten as part of the series the first five books belonged to. The age group for the story was set in the first four books and I can only lament that it was probably publishers and filmmakers who ruined what was an excellent story.

THE THING ABOUT VEELA IS . . . There are a number of people who insist that Fleur is a quarter Veela based on what is said at the wand weighing ceremony. I am only aware of what is said in the original English (UK) version of the book. Fleur's wand contains one of her grandmothers hairs; we all know that, however that simple statement gives us no reference as to the status of her grandfather, father or mother; we do not know whether any or all of them are Veela and making Fleur only a part Veela is totally based on information that never appears in the books. I don't usually like slash and never mature teacher student relationships. Angst also is a no, unless it is really well done and/or part of a much bigger story, if I want bad news I only have to look at TV or a newspaper.

Pet Hate's: Authors who write brilliant stories and do not finish them. (Me see Intermezzo I can't think of anywhere for it to go), I promise that I will try to get back into it.
