Update: Okay, I know you might not believe me, but I promise I'm working on The Life of a Tomboy in Yellow. I've grown a heck of a lot since I started it, both as a person and as a writer, so I've started over with something I'm much more proud of. I think I'll keep this story around for the sake of small pieces that don't fit into the whole, new picture, but the larger story will be re-written.

So, uh, I am alive. I promise! Just... burried under schoolwork. XD

My name is Lumos, and I'm in love with Ace Attorney and Professor Layton. I mean, I love lots of other series, too, and my friends are dragging me into the rabbit hole that is anime, but most of what I will write (if ever) will be about those two.

As far as characters go, I adore Emmy and Edgeworth... and Trucy and Luke and Flora and Phoenix and Kay... I basically love everyone. (Except for some people that raise adopted children like lambs for slaughter or kill innocent scientists in time machine explosions. Ahem.)

I will ship pretty much anything, really, in either of those fandoms, as long as it's not incest or pedophilic. Age gaps like Phoenix and Maya are okay as long as they're older - it's a little much when she's still in her teens - but the Professor and Luke is not tolerable. If it's not that and it's well written, I could probably ship it.

There are some popular ships that I don't really support, though. I personally headcanon Ema and Pearl as ace, so I don't ship a lot of things with them, including Klema and Trupearl. I'd still read stuff, probably, but it's not something I get super excited over.

Other fandoms I enjoy, as well as my favorite characters: Doctor Who (Ten, Twelve, Donna, and Clara), Avatar: the Last Airbender (Zuko and Iroh), Re: Zero (Rem!), Sword Art Online - at least the first arc (Kirito and Asuna), Harry Potter (Hermione and McGonagall... but I'm a Ravenclaw through and through. ;), Sherlock (Molly), Psych (Juliet and Lassiter)... I'm prob'ly forgetting a lot more. XD

I'm also a sucker for literature and poetry. Crime and Punishment is my all time favorite book, and "Do not go Gentle into that Good Night" and "The Hollow Men" and Tennyson's "Lyric 106" (From In Memoriam) help me get by. I also adore Frost, Shakespeare, and sonnets in general. Most of the in-depth stories I write have way too much analysis behind them, because I try to emulate some of what those authors can do. I fail, of course, but it ends up working fairly well. XD

I tend to do a lot of other fanworks, too. I'm a huge music person - I play every instrument I can get my hands on... literally - so I started a YouTube channel (Lumos314) a while back. With three whole covers. XD I've also got a Tumblr (lumos-of-pi) for general thoughts, headcanons, and art, if you wanna check that out.

The stories I have up right now range from when I was first starting out to when I'd really got going as a writer. My two favorites are Do not go Gentle into that Good Night and Turnabout Mockingbird. The first one, a Pokemon story, explores Jessie's state of mind, and her growth as she recovers from depression. The second is an Ace Attorney casefic, and is something I've been working on for two or three years, now. It won second place in Court Records's 2016 OC Contest, which I'm super proud of, thanks to my OC Chase Key. He's a wonderful little music nerd who exercises by running away from his problems, and I love him to death. The story itself follows Apollo as he defends Chase's dad for the murder of a famous actor's wife, with Trucy's help, of course. Athena, on the other hand, has to struggle to get along with Chase long enough to figure out the source of all the discord in his heart, and he certainly doesn't want to let her.
