Author has written 17 stories for Twilight, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Maze Runner Trilogy, Divergent Trilogy, Mortal Instruments, Fifty Shades Trilogy, and Infernal Devices, Cassandra Clare. "One Must Always Be Careful of Books and What is Inside Them, for Words Have The Power To Change Us." - Tessa Gray, The Clockwork Angel This is quite possibly my favourite quote, just because it's so true. Every person needs a world to go to in order to get away from the one we constantly live in; and for all readers, that world would be books. Snippets of my current fanfiction and original work available at iridescentdrream on Tumblr! Fandoms: - Harry Potter - Hunger Games - Percy Jackson - Divergent - Mortal Instruments - Infernal Devices - Throne of Glass - ACOTAR My Ships: - Harry/ Ginny - Draco/Hermione (I've recently come to love this pairing but I only like it if it's written properly.) - Tom/Hermione (same as above) - Percy/ Annabeth - Leo/Calypso - Thomas/Teresa - Four/Tris - Shailene/Theo - Jace/Clary - Simon/Isabelle (Second favourite ship of all time after Wessa) - Magnus/Alec - Tessa/Jem - Tessa/Will (OTP) - Cecily/Gabriel - Sophie/Gideon - Aria/Ezra - Caleb/Hanna - Feyre/Rhysand "The true alchemists do not change lead into gold; they change the world into words." - William H. Gass About Me Hair colour: Black Eye colour: Dark brown Gender: Female Age: Teenage I love reading, going to the movies, watching YouTube videos late at night in bed and reading or writing. I despise dresses and skirts and my mom despairs of ever getting me out of my leggings and black T-shirts. I am Erudite, followed by Dauntless. I'm hot tempered, impatient, argumentative and stubborn. I love water, and swimming is my favourite form of physical exercise. I play tennis, though not very well. Favourite author of all time: JK Rowling Favourite actress: Emma Watson Shows that ruin my life (and grades) but I'm addicted to: Shadowhunters, Pretty Little Liars, Game of Thrones, Criminal Minds, Vampire Diaries Will Herondale and Tessa Gray are my OTP. NO ONE SHALL EVER SURPASS THEM. I play the piano, although I'm not a natural at it. I love Disney movies. I am one of those people who cry when reading books and watching sad movies. After watching Mockingjay Part 2, I was in tears for days. My favourite Greek goddess is Artemis, and I would love to be a Hunter of Artemis (No school, no boys, awesome archery skills and eternal life. Do I need anything else?) I'm always interested in mythology. I love to learn about wars and historical disasters. If you want to find my mind, it'll probably be in the gutter. When I ship two people, I NEVER shut up about how cute they are. I have a serious obsession with hating Bella Swan. If I could be a vampire in real life, I would love to have the powers of Edward and Benjamin. If I could choose my godly parent, I would want to be a daughter of Apollo or Poseidon. I don't like writing angst, but I can if I need to (to a limit, that is). I do prefer happy endings (who doesn't?) and I like writing humor even if I'm not good at it. I would love to be a writer someday but I write because I want to. I love all my reviewers, and I get how frustrating it is when someone doesn't update, but I can't write unless I want to. Neither can I add in specific plot points or change something a reader doesn't like. I have put in time, thought and effort into what I write, and this is what I truly believe to be perfect for the story. If I try to write to make other people happy, it will never work out. I despise homophobia, transphobia, sexism and racism. How can you possibly be against the equality of all human beings? How can you hate someone for who they love, or what they look like? I have serious arachnophobia - I can't even see an image of a spider without freaking out - and I don't like people looking at me, especially if I have to give a speech. I am seriously addicted to FanFiction. "It is our choices, Harry, that make us who we are, more than our abilities." - Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets "There's always a hamartia, isn't there?" - Hazel Grace Lancaster, The Fault in Our Stars "If you believe in equality, you might be one of those inadvertent feminists that I spoke of earlier, and for this, I applaud you. We are struggling for a uniting world, but the good news is, we have a uniting movement. It is called HeForShe. I invite you to step forward, to be seen and to ask yourself, “If not me, who? If not now, when?" - Excerpt from Emma Watson's UN Speech "I want to do something right here, right now, to shame them, to make them accountable, to show the Capitol that whatever they do or force us to do there is a part of every tribute they can't own. That Rue was more than a piece in their Games. And so am I." - Katniss Everdeen, The Hunger Games "Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be killed." - G.K.Chesterton '"To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys.""To the stars that listen - and the dreams that are answered."' - Feyre and Rhysand, A Court of Mist and Fury "The work never matches the dream of perfection the writer has to start with." - William Faulkner "When people have the freedom to choose, they choose wrong." - Chief Elder, The Giver "Just like music, there is something else you can't see with your eyes. Something that lives deep inside you. Jonas, you might not understand where you are or what's happening to you but don't think about what's happening. Listen. Listen to what's calling from inside." - The Giver "There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will be no humans left to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you." - Hazel Grace Lancaster, The Fault in Our Stars "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he'll tell you the truth." - Oscar Wilde "Of all animals, man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one who inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it." - Mark Twain "The world is not a wish-granting factory." - Augustus Waters, The Fault in Our Stars "A woman must have a room of her own if she is writing fiction." "What a slut time is. She screws everybody." - John Green, The Fault in Our Stars "The first draft of anything is shit." "We lose ourselves in books, we find ourselves there too." "Those who don't know history are fated to repeat it." "Books! And cleverness! There are more important things - friendship and bravery and oh Harry, be careful!" - Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone "Life is a big fat gigantic stinking mess...but that's the beauty of it too." - Kat Hall, If I Stay "The kind of control you're attempting here; it's impossible. Life always finds a way." - Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park "This is how you make dinosaurs?""No. This is how you play God." - Alan Grant, Jurassic Park III "Monster is a relative term. To a canary, a cat is a monster. We're just used to being the cat." - Dr Henry Wu, Jurassic World "That was a long time ago. That was yesterday." - Samantha Kingston, Before I Fall "'Wow, Apollo is hot.''He's the sun god.''That's not what I meant.' - Percy Jackson and Thalia Grace, The Titan's Curse "Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose or paint can escape the madness, panic and fear which is nearly always existent in a human situation." "I realize now that dying is easy. Living is hard." - Mia Hall, If I Stay "I have always been fascinated by the ocean, to dip a limb beneath it's surface and know that I'm touching eternity, that it goes on forever until it begins here again." "My name is Celaena Sardothien. And I will not be afraid." - Celaena Sardothien, The Assassin's Blade "As long as there is love and memory, there is no true loss." - Jem Carstairs, City of Heavenly Fire "Is that Brother Zachariah? When did he get hot?" - Isabelle Lightwood, City of Heavenly Fire "Sometimes you make choices in life, and sometimes choices make you." - Denny Hall, If I Stay "Sometimes, when I have to do something I don't want to do, I pretend I'm a character from a book. It's easier to know what they would do." - Will Herondale, Clockwork Angel "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live. Remember that." - Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone "Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime." - Ernest Hemingway "Beyond the East, the sunrise, beyond the West, the sea. And the East and the West, the wander-thirst that will not let me be." - Gerald Gould "'You are in your wedding dress.' 'Well, now that you've all seen it, I can't possibly wear it to be married in. Bad luck, you know.' - Will Herondale and Tessa Gray, Clockwork Princess "JORDAN! ARE YOU BEING PAID TO ADVERTISE FIREBOLTS? GET ON WITH THE COMMENTARY!" - Professor McGonagall, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban "Will! Have you LOST YOUR MIND? CEASE THAT INFERNAL RACKET!" - Charlotte Branwell, Clockwork Prince "A blank piece of paper is God's way of telling us how hard it is to be God." - Sidney Sheldon "Better to write for yourself and have no public, than write for the public and have no self." - Cyril Connolly "In life, unlike chess, the game continues after checkmate." - Isaac Asimov "The idea of wandering off to a cafe with a notebook and writing and seeing where that takes me for awhile is just bliss." - J.K.Rowling "Marry me, Tess. Marry me and be called Tessa Herondale. Or be Tessa Gray, or be whatever you wish to call yourself, but marry me and stay with me and never leave me, for I cannot bear another day of my life to go by that does not have you in it.” - Will Herondale, Clockwork Princess "To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure." - Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone "And so all the night-tide, I lie down by the side of my darling - my darling - my life and my bride. In her sepulchre there by the sea, in her tomb by the sounding sea." - Annabel Lee, Edgar Allen Poe "I have loved to the point of madness; that which is madness, that which to me is the only sensible way to love." - Francoise Sagan "I make a list in my head of every single act of goodness I've ever seen someone do. It's like a game. Repetitive. Even a little tedious after more than twenty years. But there are much worse games to play." - Katniss Everdeen, Mockingjay "Annabeth glared at me like she was going to punch me. Then she did something that surprised me even more. She kissed me." - Percy Jackson, The Battle of the Labyrinth "Heroes aren't always the ones who win. They're the ones who lose, sometimes. But they keep fighting, they keep coming back. They don't give up. That's what makes them heroes." - Clary Fairchild, City of Heavenly Fire "Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall." - Confucius "You get strength, courage and confidence from every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself 'I have faced this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt "Nature, in her most dazzling aspects or stupendous parts, is but the background and theater of the tragedy of man." - John Morley "Sometimes there are no words. No clever quotes to neatly sum up what's happened that day. Sometimes the day...just...ends." - Aaron Hotchner, Criminal Minds Reader. Writer. Procrastinator. Dreamer. |
