![]() Author has written 13 stories for Lion King, Fahrenheit 451, Dead Poets Society, Halo, Hunger Games, and My Little Pony. Well, well. Look what I just found. God, I was cute when I started doing this. Just to set the record straight, The Pridelanders, along with pretty much everything else attached to this account, has officially been abandoned (which I'm sure comes as a total shock to everyone reading this, considering it's only been, oh, a year and a half since I did anything TLK-related). As it happens, the second and third acts my fifteen-year-old came up with for TPL are just the slightest bit on the hammy, clichéd, what-in-God's-name-were-you-thinking side. And in retrospect, that whole thing I did where the first act alone was nearly 200,000 words all told, a good 80,000 words of which could've easily been cut out, probably wasn't the best idea either. In all seriousness, though, I still have a soft spot for this fic for various reasons, and when I went back and reread a bunch of it this past week, I was honestly shocked at how competent some of it was. In light of that, I'm beginning to play around with the idea of going back to it someday, giving the whole thing a massive overhaul, changing a bunch of the settings and characters around, and turning it into a publishable trilogy, so in case anyone actually ever wants to know where the story goes after what I've got now, there's always that slim chance to hold on to. As for the rest of the stuff here...eh, I'll leave it up too. I got nostalgic for TPL for a bit, so it stands to reason I might want to go check some of my other stuff out too. And hell, maybe someday I might even get back to Breaking Bricks, though if I do I'll be updating over on FIMFiction and not here. I'll be honest, I'm not sure if or when I'll ever come back to posting anything here, so this message will probably stick around for a while. I had a good time while I was here, though, so I'll throw out a general "thanks for the childhood memories" for the whole site and call it good. And with that, I take my leave. Stay classy, FFN. Or...at least, as classy as you've ever known how to be. And that's all I have to say about that. |
