5/12/13 So, I finally got around to updating AH again. Between 2am and 5am, I wrote a massive chapter and cut in it half, then published the first half. I have the second half, but it seems like FF isn't sending emails out right now, so I'm definitely waiting at least until that's fixed to update again. I hope they fix it soon so all of you guys can see that I've finally written something again! I'm really excited to write this arc, and I feel like the momentum is picking up again. I graduate in less than two weeks and then go out to Alabama for orientation, so I'll be really intensely busy up until June. I hope I'll have time to update before then, though!

3/11/13 Updated AH again yesterday, which makes Chapter 51. That's two chapters this week. I feel like I need to write more or I'll explode.

12/30/12 Updated AH. Finally. Jeez. Check out this video (which was also linked up at the top of the profile) for my explanation. Happy New Year. My resolutions include better updating schedule keeping. Lord, American Honey was so much easier to write before I had my own fair dose of romantic failure. Haha. Haaa. At least now when/if Vaughn and Chelsea ever get to kiss, I'll actually know what I'm talking about and not just BSing it like I do my English homework.

5/21/12 Oh my, I seem to have neglected this section for a while. Well, I'm seventeen now and my junior year ends on Friday (May 25th). Well, I have two finals after that, but I don't like to think about that. Anyway, it's been hectic this semester and I've done a shamefully low amount of writing. But I'm really excited to get back into it come June. Sooo, I'm playing with the idea of writing an OC-fic where the main character is paired with Vaughn. To take away the sugar coating, it would be a self-insert fic. I'd challenge myself to make it not Mary-Sue-esque and more... believable? I dunno. I want to try it, though, after American Honey is finished. On another note, I think it may be time to change my avatar. It's been with me since I joined FF, but I'm thinking of making it a real picture of me. After I get my senior pictures done this summer, that is. Well, I'll end my rant here. Here's to a stress-free last school week and a long, relaxing summer!

11/20/11 It's been a while since I updated this news section, huh? Well, it's two-thirds of the way through National Novel Writing Month (the reason I haven't updated AH in over a month) and I'm really far behind on my word count. But I did manage to write a chapter of AH back in October so I could put it out in November--but I forgot about it until just now. I'm going to put it up right now! Unfortunately, that'll be the last update until December. But December's only in ten days, so... well, yeah. I'll just put up that chapter now.

7/30/11 Well, I finally finished that chapter. I only wrote 945 words at Starbucks in five hours... but I did that much and more in like forty-five minutes at home. Lol. Adding contest info to the top of my profile.

7/26/11 Damn, it's been forever. I'm at Starbucks right now as I'm typing this, so I should do at least one chapter here. I hope. I've been here for two hours and haven't started... But I'll do one soon. My writer's block isn't as severe now, which is epic. The next chapter will bring news about my contest, too! Here's to faster updates, lol.

6/20/11 Well, I'm lazy. I sort of have writer's block, and I started a new fic, which was a bad idea. Country ABCs will be fun, but time-consuming. It's an idea that Xealvi came up with and she has her own version up. On a different note... I'm thinking of doing a contest of sorts. Actually, it's totally a contest. I'm not sure if it'll happen, but... whatever it is, the winner will get a super-special (unedited) copy of American Honey in legit book form. But that's not all. It'll have an alternate ending. And I'll sign it, if that means anything lolol. The contest itself is either going to be to draw a fanart of any scene in the story or it might be something else like "take any scene from the story and rewrite half of it". Like, if you really wished something else had happened at a certain part of the fic, then take that part, quote the first paragraph or so, then write what you wish had happened next. There would be different judging categories for each one, ahaha. Well, that was just a little idea I had. We'll see what happens. xP

4/30/11 So happy! I spent nearly three hours at Barnes&Noble today writing this fic. I have so much done! And I'm on fire to write more. It seems like all I needed to do was get out of that twenty-chapter-long winter. xD Oh, yeah, MY BIRTHDAY IS IN A WEEK :D

3/23/11 I fail at scheduling. I still have my cough, and now it's time for applying to AP and honors courses for next year, so I'm swamped with tests and essays and stuff. Blarg. But I put off my homework to 12:34am (right now) to write up chapter 30 and by golly I did it. Things are getting interesting now in the fics and I think we're about a third to two-fifths of the way through the plot I've figured out. This may hit a hundred chapters. It definitely will hit fifty. Seventy-five seems most likely for an ending amount. Well, I'll go do my homework now. Tomorrow in English class we get time to work on our essays and I might just start the next chapter xD

3/9/11 AH finally updated again! I'm sick again (D:), and it's the last quarter of the school year, so I have my work cut out for me. Things are going to get intense while I try to balance school with fanfiction, but just know that I'm never leaving AH for good. Spring break will come in April and that means updates galore! Well... all I can say for the plot of AH is that it's all coming together now that Vaughn and Chelsea are kind-of-pseudo-friends :3

1/24/11 Updated AH yesterday. Twenty-five chapters! Goodness. And that's a perfect number for this point in the plot - things have officially pivoted. I want to say that things are heading uphill towards the climax here, but I'm not sure. And no one fret about the climax coming soon... I have a crap-load of falling action and denouement to write through before the fic actually ends. Even if I update weekly, I don't think I'll finish until summer sometime... and that's assuming we get more frequent updates during summer vacation. Anywho, I'll be gone this weekend, so no update. I'll probably end up doing a double-update in two weeks. It'll be cool, but probably rather filler xP

1/13/11 Updated my story portion down below on my profile. Also, American Honey has been especially active recently, no? Well, I'll try to keep it up. It's a three-day weekend and I may have so much homework I need to take two trips to my locker since I can't fit it all in my backpackbut I will update this weekend at least once. I'm on a field trip tomorrow to the Cathedral in Los Angeles, which is about a one-and-a-half to two-hour bus ride (one way!). I'll see if I can type it on my phone, ahaha. By the way, Sophomore year sucks.

5/31/10 Updated American Honey again today. I must say, I'm very happy with this fic. Granted, it's most certainly not the best one out there, but I feel that my writing is a ton better in it than it has been previously. Spanish test today (100 FTW), class Spelling Bee in English that my teacher messed up today, Geometry finals next week, and I have a two-page history report due Friday.
