Temari is actually my favorite fictional character of all time. I like to write dark pieces involving her, her training as a ninja, her childhood, but I also like to write about the process of her falling in love with Shikamaru Nara. I am convinced that Temari never expected her life to turn out the way it did. She would have been content living her life as a kunoichi, serving Suna, serving Gaara, and eventually dying to protect the Kazekage, as all bodyguards do eventually do. But she fell in love. It was the first decision she ever made for herself, certainly the hardest decision of her life, but also the best. She's happy. She's remembered, at last, for something she chose, not who she happens to be related to.
