I love your style of writing in this fic, how we go back and forth between pasts and presents and in different points of views. I’ve always liked the idea of Shikamaru dating his senpai and the two of them getting criticized for it and, really, that’s the kind of ShikaTema situation I’ve been wanting to read for so long but no one seems to write about that so I was oh so pleasantly surprised when you brought it up in this fic how they were high school lovers but their relationship was complicated.

God I love this ship and you wrote them so well. 3

as far as i am concerned, this is the best piece you have ever written. not necessarily writing-wise (i love how you write everything) but in terms of content and storyline. i loved everything about this. i could reread it 24/7. the mistakes they each made - him being too head of heels to even recognize that she was hurting and her to be so concerned with right and wrong to kind of knowingly deceive him. and then her hatred of herself and his toxic hatred of her before they both finally resolve their issues. and that they both love each other still - and not just everlasting or left over, but the seriously love the person they each are now as well as they were before. too often you see these things where they've been in love for years but from like a break-up 10 years ago... but they're each different people? so they're only loving a memory (you deal with that a lot, actually, and discuss that inconsistency well) - so i really like here that you make it explicit that this isn't just left over, but is still consistent and true. god this is really the best

This is probably the third time i've read this story and i must admit it's bloody amazing.
The story progresses smoothly from start to finish, and even though certain scene jumps felt a bit rushed i didn't mind cause it all tied together perfectly in the end.
