This is one of the most wholesome and fulfilling Jily fics I ever read!

What a story! OMG! Lily's grand parents' tale had me pause and cry for a few seconds thinking about how Sirius felt when he lost his best friend and then Askban and all that shit. Yeah, that explains my tears. Only bloody, slightly good thing about the tragedy that happened to them was Lily didn't live long enough to feel the loss of James. And Harry...oh god Harry! Poor thing never got to know them. Sorry I'm rumbling but this story just took me there.

I really really love how you write James and Lily :') they're still so silly and sweet but also insightful and real with their fears and worries about the war. I love how loving and supportive they are towards each other and how you don't reduce Lily into this uptight stereotype or James into just an idiotic prankster.

It always makes me sad thinking about the things they weren't able to do but I'm glad I found your fic where you're able to show that maybe they were able to do things like camping and having fun huhu.

This story is so cute. I don't usually read stories about after James and Lily are an item, as those stories tend to make their lives too perfect, or make James an absolute idiot. But your characterization felt completely right. Lily wasn't the Hermione of 1978, and James was insightful with just a bit of cocky.

I loved this story. It is one of the best written ones i have readn this site for a while. You actually deal with themes one wold imagine to arise during a time of war, and you made lily and james into realistic people, with realistic backstories, fesrs and memories. Your style reminds me a bit of kathryn's 'every other midnigth', which is about as high a compliment i can give. Really lived reading this. Thank you for sharing
