Bludhaven officer, Dick Grayson knew that he could always count on his family no matter what. It was just kind of hard to depend on them when they and everybody else in the world had no clue who he or his alter ego was. Putting together the fractured pieces of his life would have been a lot easier if he hadn't been transferred to Gotham P.D.

Hovering outside of the room where his brothers were playing video games and relaxing, Dick realized that no matter Damian's invitation, he wasn't welcome to join them. Because he'd gone undercover, and as a result, let his brothers believe he was dead. Hearing them laugh and joke while Dick was left on the outside looking in, he found himself losing hope he would ever be forgiven.

A late night call reveals just how much weight Dick is still carrying. A late night call ends up being the catalyst to recovery and reconnecting.

It's been less than three months since Dick lost his parents. He's happy living with Bruce, but he still struggles with his grief, and Bruce would do anything to help. He takes Dick on a bit of a field trip to see the Hall of Justice- a place that doesn't do VIP meet and greets. But when you're Bruce Wayne, hell yeah, you can get the League members to meet your kid.

His mind felt clouded. Foggy. He knew there were things he needed do, wounds he needed to take care of, but all he wanted to do was lie down (not that sleep had been his friend recently). Dick stilled as the cold, metal barrel of a gun kissed his bare neck. "Bang. You're dead, little bird."

Damian admits something to someone he's jealous of. They don't understand, but then, it wasn't really for them, was it?

PLOT: Nightwing must risk his own life to rescue Batman, a victim of a bioengineered plague, from a snowy wasteland in the Arctic Circle. This is a novelization of the graphic novel originally written by Kelley Puckett and illustrated by Toby Cypress; the art is so bad that the story is almost inaccessible.

A Robin falls through a portal from another world and Nightwing doesn't like it one bit. Batman is nostalgic, but was this really how Dick was at that age? Damian, Tim and Jason fall somewhere in between plot devices and background comic relief. :) I uploaded this incorrectly earlier, so please enjoy this as it was initially intended. :) Please Review!

Because technically Robin's older than him and doesn't need anyone to protect him, and Connor doesn't even understand why he needs a name much less a little brother. But, Robin is tiny and human, and Connor is big and nearly indestructible. Superman is his mentor, who won't look at him, and Batman is cold, but for some reason always there when he needs someone.
