![]() Author has written 10 stories for Dukes of Hazzard, and Mod Squad. Hello! My name is Donna. Wow! This needed updating even worse than last time:) I've been away from fan fic for a while and also from computers, but I'm looking forward to seeing what favorites are still here and what newbies have arrived I haven’t had much time for hobbies but I still enjoy a good game of trivia, baking, crafts, and obviously writing. If you haven’t guessed by the screen name already, I am a big Husker fan, but I love all college football. On Saturdays from September through November, you will probably find me close to a television. For a long time, I've called this little 'world' a community because that's really what it has become to me; a very friendly and warm 'home away from home' with great neighbors both near and far. I guess I never would have found that out, though, if I had never looked past just words or plots. The stories and characters we write about are fictional; the writers and the readers are real:) And those very real readers and writers have made this a very wonderful experience. Most of the writers include their favorite quotes, so here’s mine: “I am not a pollyanna. I do not see the world through rose colored glasses. I want the world to be rose colored!” I’d like to say that this came from some classic writer, but it came from a night time soap opera back in the 80s:) Still, I’ve always liked the message - wanting one thing, but knowing the difference. And finally, the shorter version of what I have in common with the Dukes: an orange car:) Yes, the Mustang. About the time the Dukes were airing, I got a 1979 Orange Mustang. (giving away my age again:) The Dukes weren’t popular here their first season and neither was my car. People thought it was terribly ugly - gaudy was the word they used. Fortunately, the Dukes became very popular the 2nd season, and orange cars were then thought to be cool, making my Mustang very popular - which I was very grateful for. So, while they were tearing up the roads in the General, I was tearing up the roads here in my orange Mustang - bonding us for life:) And that’s about it for now! I'm not writing right now, but I am looking forward to being entertained by the stories already on the site! Well, I've lost my creativity and story ideas for Dukes and while I don't have much time anymore to devote to reading or writing, I do still enjoy reading TS Blue's stories. She's such a talented writer. But if anyone has an idea for a story they don't want to personally write, I'm open to ideas. In the meantime, I've discovered another Childhood favorite show, The Mod Squad. When I was a kid, we had the 5:00 new, 5)30 national news, and then a re-run program that they would run at 6:00. Well, The Mod Squad was one of those programs. I fell in love with it. I loved Michael Cole's lopsided grin. But they can only play it so many times and then they would move it to 1:00 a.m. and believe it or not, my Mom would let me stay up to watch it. As a parent now, I know that wasn't the right thing to do, since I was falling asleep in school, but I had to entertain myself, and most of the time it was by studying, until 1:00 a.m. While watching the show, I had a story idea. Anyway, I recently bought the 5 year series and wanted to see if the story idea still played out some ... years later. It did...even stronger, so I decided to try my hand again at writing. And for all my friends out there in FanFic land, that's what I've been up to lately |
