Okay, here's the deal. If any of you were wondering what "The Incident" was in Better Know A Nobody, here it is. If you haven't read it yet, for crying out loud don't read this yet! Anyway, here it is.

THE INCIDENT

Kit led the way to a large, blimp-like skyship. Ravensong looked up in awe, and it was obvious to Kit and Parker that she was already calculating how well it would fly. Zexion, Larxene, Xaldin, and Vexen were trudging along next to them.

"Told you I'd get us out of here!" Kit said triumphantly, glancing at the knot of jungle behind them.

"Yeah, after you almost got us killed at least five times," Zexion retorted.

"It was not five times!" Kit shot back crossly.

"Well," Xaldin began. "There was the time when you tripped me - AGAIN - and we all fell into that pit of snakes. . . ."

"And the time that you led us into that tribe of cannibals," Larxene added, and Xaldin held up a second finger.

"Don't forget the Dino-bunnies in those fiery fields!" Parker chimed in, grinning when Kit glared furiously at him.

"That one counts as two," Vexen drawled. "We were chased by the rabbits AND we nearly caught fire."

"And the forest," Ravensong finished, and Xaldin held up a fifth finger. "So that's five."

"Okay, okay, I get the idea!" Kit exclaimed. "Still, we're here and alive, right?" Everyone else except for Parker grumbled, as if they weren't so sure being alive was a good thing, all things considered.

A half hour later, they reached the town where the skyship was nestled. It was a boisterous town that seemed to be in the middle of some sort of festival. Festive banners draped around the entire town, including the arch that showed the beginning of the town.

The group walked uneasily through the bright colors, the Organization XIII people and the three explorers separating instinctively. Kit led them through the falling confetti, her arms pulling her jacket around herself. The only person who didn't look even the slightest bit uneasy was Parker, who was smiling at the children that lined the sides. Everybody else had the odd feeling that this was a trap. Or something horrible. Like pink sweaters. Yes, very much like a horrible pink sweater.

"Is this the TransDimensional skyship?" Kit asked when they reached the ticket booth, where a mischievous man was standing.

"Yes!" he said happily. "You travelers are lucky, to have come here on the Festival celebrating Cherub's day, one of our many gods!"

"Yeah, we figured something was going on," Kit said impatiently. "How much for 7 tickets?"

"Why, it's free," the man said, startled. "I just need to know which two are your leaders."

The explorers looked at each other, and Kit stepped forward. After some hasty arguing, Zexion reluctantly came to stand next to her.

The man beamed. "Now all you must do is show your respect for Cherub, and you may go!"

"How exactly do we do that?" Zexion asked.

"Why, you kiss!" the man exclaimed.

Kit blanched, her eyes going wide. "Say what!"

Zexion's visible eye was almost as wide. "Are you serious?"

"Absolutely," the man said sternly. "The punishment is most severe."

"What's the punishment?" Parker said hopefully, hoping it was something trivial.

"We feed you to Cherub's animals, the ancient rabbits of Tough Love," the man said smoothly. Parker's face became as white as Kit's, remembering the terrifying bunnies.

"Don't let the bunnies get me, Kit!" he cried.

Kit sighed and turned to Zexion. "Don't take this the wrong way," she said.

"Same here."

The two quickly kissed and then pulled away. Kit grabbed the tickets from the man and ran up the ramp, and they could hear her faintly saying,

"Why me, why me, why me!" Parker and Ravensong ran after her, and the Organization people followed. Zexion wasn't wailing or anything, but Larxene was teasing him and he sat in the back of the skyship the whole way home, with the other three Organization members sitting about three rows in front of him. They could hear Kit, Parker, and Ravensong chattering in the front, but when they got off the blimp, there was no sign of the three explorers. All that was there was a cell phone number written on a scratch piece of paper. It was written underneath Zexion's phone number, which he had given to Parker before, when they were talking about keeping in contact after they went their separate ways. But they wouldn't have a chance to see them before until much later, at a place called the Colbert Report. . . .

I'll be trying to update as often as possible, but to be completely honest with you, I might just forget. Or I could be taking online classes. I'm thinking about doing some Kingdom Hearts fics, but I don't know if they're any good.

Update 1/28/07:

Hey, everyone. I've been away for a while, huh? My parents sent me away to some place called the 'asylum.' I mean, what's that? -crickets- Seriously? Yeah, you all suck! Just kidding, please come back. . . .

Anyway, I've got a chapter of Better Know A Nobody and a chapter of Chaos At Camp in the works, and I should have them out by the end of the week. Although I'll deny ever saying that. You didn't hear it from me.

UPDATE March 5, 2007 I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I had SO many fanfics in the works, but my DOGS ate my FLASHDRIVE! -super-angry- So I'm retyping a couple, the ones I remember, and I'm working on a few things. So, expect news from me, but not for a while yet.
