Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter. Hi there, If you're reading this profile page, it's probably fair to assume that you were directed here after reading one of the many fanfictions that I have posted on this site. So, firstly, I would like to say thank you :) I do hope you enjoyed whatever fic it is that you read. All these stories were written a very long time ago - several years ago now - when I was still young (about 13/14) and so I will forgive you if you found them at all tacky or unoriginal! I myself find many of them full of a kind of cringe-worthy charm, and keep them around as a source of amusement rather than any serious offering of prose to our ever-growing community. I would, however, like to direct a much bigger thanks to all the readers of my main fic, Veela Genes. These readers were there with me at the very beginning, when I used too many adjectives and didn't understand proper paragraph structure, right through to the end when I gave up writing after the death of my Father. I had always hoped to return to this site and, in turn, return to my stories, but the last few years of my life have been fully occupied in taking care of my ailing Mother. I'm afraid to say that she too recently passed away, and whilst I now have the free time to write, I find myself completely lacking in inspiration. I'm afraid it must be said that I will now never return to Veela Genes as I once hoped. I am very sorry to all the readers that this may disappoint, but I do feel that honesty is important here. I have tried to be optimistic in every review and pm that I have replied to, but the optimism has faded as the years have passed. I am proud of the work that I achieved, and yet now comes the time when I must let this pride go. Veela Genes is, and will remain, unfinished. Thank you so, so much for all the kind reviews and love that I have received over the last few years; the kindness inherent in our little .net community is awe-inspiring, and still fills me with joy on dark days. I hope you will all go on to pass this love and kindness on to other writers - to the new, young and nervous writers who are just joining us; to the long-term, experienced writers who deserve a little praise for their tireless work - and to everyone in between. All their literary endeavors deserve notice in this world of ever decreasing literacy standards, and if my works have inspired just one young person to pick up their pen (or keyboard, as it may be) and express their inner dreams, I shall consider my long years here on well spent. Keep writing, . Keep reading. Keep your dreams alive. Regards, Rosie AKA GothicalFairy |
