There is no need for Dean Winchester to attend Edlund's Finishing School for Princes. Dean, Sam, and Bobby move to California for a fresh start away from Sioux Falls and the secrets they want to stay buried. Dean is looking forward to his new life, except that he has to take a year of college when he'd rather be working. Dean thinks he can handle it, until he meets Castiel Novak, who ruins his life in the most perfect ways possible. College AU. Complete.

"Dean and Castiel don't get together all of a sudden. There's no dramatic confession, no obvious morning-after. It's slow, it's quiet. Castiel is just a barista at the local coffee shop, working his nine to five to pay for college. His life is totally ordinary until Dean Winchester becomes a regular at the coffee shop. Over the course of nine months, Dean and Castiel start a silent love story only fueled by looks and lyrics, and fall in love in a way neither of them ever expected.

Set sometime during season 5, Dean decides it's time to tell Castiel his true feelings.

Two times an outsider meets Dean Winchester, and two snapshots she gets of his life. She offers him advice and free beer and sees past the facade. First part is pre-series, second part takes place after 5.01 Sympathy for the Devil. Gen, focuses on the relationship between Dean and Sam and the consequences of Sam's actions in season 4. After Cas becomes human, he keeps having horrible nightmares whenever he goes to sleep, and he ends up sharing a bed with Dean. What happens when Dean wake up and thinks he's still in a dream?

Shy, nerdy Castiel Novak had always admired the popular, handsome Dean Winchester from afar. He always figured that he was invisible to him; that is, until Dean willingly pairs up with Castiel for a term project. Dean and Cas have been acting like a couple of lovesick teenagers for a few months now without doing anything about it, and Sam gets fed up.

Trying to avoid an awkward conversation, Dean suggests he and Cas make a pie together, using the new kitchen in the Men of Letters bunker. If only he knew what he was getting himself into…

Dean sees a classmate walking out in the freezing weather and feels bad not offering a ride. So he does, and he changes everything. Destiel

Dean likes it when Cas tickles him, Castiel can tell. But then why does he constantly deny it and say that he hates it? Castiel has had enough of Dean's avoidance of the subject and decides to get to the bottom of it once and for all. Destiel tickle!fic

They "make it official" on a Friday at Cas's house, with Dean stammering and blushing his way through the stereotypical I-really-like-you-in-a-different-than-friends-way speech and Cas listening, terrifyingly impassive, right to the end, at which point he grabs Dean by the shoulders and kisses him.
