Originally, I have Published Four Stories on this site, two Star Wars and two Phantom of the Opera, but as you can see, I've deleted two of them. If you came up to me fifteen or even eleven years ago, you would never have guessed that I would be writing now, much less with my current skill. For the life of me, I could not stand reading or writing anything, much less, I could not begin to try and pronounce half the words I write now(Still can't in many case) because of a mild speech impediment. Then...things just...clicked. Writing is like breathing to me now--without it, I am nothing. I communicate far better through writing than I could ever hope to verbally. I am...very exacting in my work, OCD even. I pay attention to detail, if I don't know it, I don't write it until I learn it. There are multiple examples of this in just End of the Ghost Story, from trees, watches, horses, food, to music and books, and...well the list goes on. Anything you decide to Google/Bing search--you will find to be accurate to the date/time period. I will literally, sit for HOURS reading up on something I will only use for a single sentence. Alas, such is life. Some things you see, I do know from experience. 2002 marks when I became something more than just a kid, everything that impacts me now in my hobbiest activities and loves in life, started then. I did perform Ballet for eight years, played soft ball and rode horses for ten, sang and played piano off and on--nothing fancy--worked with horses and carriages and some livestock for over a year. I'm mostly self taught in music (primarily vocals), but I have to give credit to my sister for getting the basics drilled into my stubborn head. Writing Erik inspired much of my musical research. I'm also...more than I little nutty. To me, every character I write...Breathes. Active Stories End of the Ghost Story (#EndoftheGhostStory) Chapter 13 Progress, 0% Complete, Started in Handwriting, Chapter 9-- To be replaced, to correct Erik's age from 47 to 57 Unsigned Review Responses: Diary of Heartache (#DiaryofHeartache) Chapter 7 Progress, 0% Complete, planning Unsigned Review Responses: Deleted Stories/Reason Why Allegiance was the first in the Star Wars genre. It went on for 23 published Chapters, 25 written and never completed. I Deleted it this year simply because I grew so much as a writer since I started it in '03 that I simply could not handle reediting it at the time. I loved the story, but things changed with the characters as they evolved in my head--so much so that when I looked back at what I wrote...it simply...was amateurish to the point I had to wonder what I was thinking in some places. Shadows in the Night was a Phantom of the Opera that got to about six or eight chapters long, published sometime in '04 - '05 and deleted that same year. While I liked it, an OC started looking like a Mary Sue, and I just could not have that happen. I realized I need to mature in writing a Period Appropriate woman/girl. She was not modern...but some of her accepting habits were too modern...and I was trying too hard in such a way it looked as though if she saw Erik unmasked, she would not have even flinched--a big no no. Luckily that character has matured much since then, and will reappear someday. |
