I really wish you would continue this story! It has so much promise, and the character's already have so much depth!

I think this is wonderful...a maturing Christine, so unusual in this fandom. I'd certainly like to see her give Erik a run for his money. Or his soul for that matter.

Wonderful. I adore your characterizations in this fic. While they are not typical of most of those seen throughout the fandom, it is precisely that about your story that is refreshing and kept me up past my bedtime this evening!

I'm sad that only four chapters are up, and I do hope that you continue on with this story, regardless of the feedback that you receive. I say again, it is SO refreshing to read a DIFFERENT POTO fic that shows matured (yet still delightfully angsty) characters that still have room to grow and challenges to face that the reader hasn't seen before.

I am really looking forward to Erik and Christine's first encounter!

This is fantastic! Its so difficult to get rid of Raoul beleiveably, but their argument fits their ages and personality in its ignorance; Christine doesn't sound too mature, but she is enough to wonder why Erik wanted someone as simple as her; you've developed her well, her point of veiw is a little more grown up than she was last time we really get to see her in Leroux or Kay (or even Webber; she never really gets to say much about the ending) but she hasn't changed so much that its not realistic

I can't tell you how many stories I've read that I just couldn't suffer through because Christine was either entirely OOC or her personality was changed from child to grown woman overnight. She's been scarred and scared only to have her childhood best friend save her life and offer her a life of luxary and enjoyment-one of her precious fairy tales come to life; and it is so difficult to come up with a good reason that she would just leave all that behind to live beneath an opera house with a hideously deformed criminal. The reason that she couldn't go on with out her music, or without the artistic side of her and Erik's relationship has been used before, but you supported very well; not just having her state the reason why, but letting Erik work his way into the argument between her and raoul, not the sole cause of tension between the young couple, but as a factor in a larger issue that is just them, and honest: that most first loves end with a petty argument (or in this case, Raoul being his typical rich-boy self and not understanding anything about the girl he supposedly would have died for) (Just a PS, I hate Raoul in all versions, but I like how you treated him, as a charater, young and ignorant, but not cruel.)
