Author has written 3 stories for PAW Patrol. Hey everyone! I'm CrypticCheetah! I'm a hobby writer, and I first started writing fanfiction about 7 years ago :) I strive to make any reader of my work feel the same emotion that I feel as I'm writing it. My favorite fanfic category is PAW Patrol, but I also like Spyro the Dragon :) My favorite styles of writing are hurt/comfort, adventure, friendship, and romance. I like both straight and gay pairings, and I'm super pumped to be a part of the community here! Just a couple basics about me (I'm well aware that this profile needs an update; please excuse all unnecessary or cringe-inducing content): Location: I live in Wisconsin Age: 21 years old Gender: Male Interests Favorite TV Shows: PAW Patrol- Kind of a "duh" :P I haven't been so enthusiastic about a TV show for a LONG time :3 I love dogs, I love cute dogs, and I really love cute dogs that have cute voices and wear cute suits and are on a cute little rescue team XD Currently, to support my insatiable love for these adorable pups, I own the plush variants of my 6 favorite pups, 2 coloring books, 2 blankets, a pillow, a puzzle, a diaper cover, and a necklace charm for each pup :D If you're a big fan of the show, I highly recommend the plush Pup Pals; they are incredibly soft, and are perfect for sleeping with, or taking on the go! Heck, I'll even take turns alternating each of the pups, and bring one pup with me every day to school :3 At the time of typing this, I'm curled up with Everest, who's keeping me company as I spend my day scouring the deepest recesses of my childhood for some of the things on all of these lists :) The Walking Dead- Kind of dropped the ball on Season 6 so far, but my go-to show on the weekends for the past year or so :) Pokemon- I absolutely love the old episodes of Pokemon (back when VHS was a thing :P), but the new ones just aren't the same :/ Still got a bunch of old episodes in a box of VHS tapes that I'll watch on occasion :) Poor Brock; he just couldn't schmooze those girls XD Krypto the Superdog- This show was my life in the good ol' days of elementary school :) Main character is a cute talking dog who rescues people and animals...sounds a bit like another show that I like XD Favorite Video Games: I spend quite a bit of my free time gaming, so I have many, many favorite games :P Call of Duty- Slightly cliché, but I particularly enjoy Zombies mode, which I happen to be pretty good at. On the map "Nuketown", I currently rank within the top 4% of the world (Round 26), completely legit, which I'm proud to say took at least 100 attempts to finally get XD Consistency is not my strong suit :P Wish I knew how TheSyndicateProject can be so freakin' consistent when he plays Zombies (he was the first person I ever saw play it, which really got me into it). If you like COD, and you don't know who he is, check him out on Youtube. He's basically the biggest name for FPS gaming :P Minecraft- Possibly a little more cliché than COD, but it really is a great game :) Potentially one of the most creative games ever designed, I immediately fell in love with the freedom, and the versatility of being able to do practically whatever I wanted. Eventually, my playstyle became more technical, focusing on minute stats and little bits of knowledge that would prove extremely useful, but incredibly irritating to my friends that I play with XD I also fell into the realm of Redstone creations, seeing Sethbling on Youtube design these incredible structures and contraptions that really tested the limits of the seemingly simple Command Block, and he still to this day, makes it look so easy XD Oh, and I forgot to mention how killer the music for Minecraft has become since the big update for Version 1.7 :D It makes playing the game and its sometimes monotonous tasks spring to life with its fantastic soundtrack! Love the old music, and really love the new music :) Pokemon- Ahh, Pokemon...quite possibly the first video game that I ever played, and quite possibly the best (of course, excluding any games after the 4th Generation, because they are seriously scraping the barrel to come up with new and original Pokemon now). My older cousin had a Gameboy Advance when they came out, and he had every iteration of Pokemon up to that point. He also had an original Gameboy (the brick of a handheld that had no color, yep) that he kept at our grandma's house for when we would visit (which was quite often). I remember that we would spend countless hours, seeing who could beat the Elite 4 the fastest, and with the weakest Pokemon (I think at one point, we could both beat the game in under 4 hours, which was quite a feat in the older Generations of the game due to the incredibly difficult Elite 4 that they had in comparison to the more modern Generations). Those little Pokemon brought me so much joy, and continued to do so through a large portion of my life (in fact, I have a 3DS with Pokemon Diamond, Black, Omega Ruby, and Sun, in addition to that same brick Gameboy that my cousin gave to me and the countless ROMs of the various Pokemon games on my phone that I'll play when I'm on the go). You could say that Pokemon was probably my first real passion in life; my poor mom would be forced to endure painstaking years of listening to me babble stats, effective movesets, Evolution Chains, areas to find certain Pokemon, and particular damage, accuracy, and type attributes of each move, and any effects that they had XD I served as the walking encyclopedia for my friends, happy to provide my services for them whenever they had a question about the game :) Of course, with me knowing so much about the game, I was naturally a bit better at battling than my friends, which really pissed them off XD But hey, I won because I did my "homework" on the game; it's survival of the fittest in the world of Pokemon :P Come to think of it, Pokemon might have also been the subject of my first actual "story" that I wrote in school, too :P So even as I write this now, I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for good ol' Pikachu and his general adorableness :3 Thanks, bud; you've made a successful writer out of me :) Now if only I could branch out from writing about cute little rescue puppies, to something more...worldly XD Then I'd really be getting somewhere in the world :P Dang it, Pikachu, why couldn't you have been real? XD Spyro the Dragon My love for the also adorable purple dragon fell right in the same timeline as Pokemon, so I guess you could call those my "Passionate Years" :P As I recall, for my 5th birthday, my parents got me an original Playstation, which was the first game console (including both handheld and home consoles) that I ever owned. My first game was not Spyro, however; it was actually Crash Bandicoot. But therein lied a problem...the original Crash Bandicoot was an incredibly difficult game, which required very precise movements and timing. When paired with an analog D-Pad (thumb sticks weren't supported for the game), and weird, primitive 3-D graphics that made depth perception nearly impossible, you can probably imagine that this created a lot of frustration for me :P Here I am, 5 years old, with a brand new game that I couldn't progress in. And so the search began for a game that would please me, and also be playable for a 5 year old :P I believe that we were at a local rummage sale, and they had a plastic bin of games that their son didn't want, which included such titles as Grand Theft Auto and Rayman. But sitting way in the back, where everyone else who was browsing the games decided to push it back to, with a bit fat "Sale" sticker on it, was Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. I remember being immediately intrigued by his purple color; it was quite different from the orange color that many other iconic Playstation characters had. It was only $1, so my parents got it for me. And to match Spyro's color, I had my parents buy me a matching purple memory card so I could remember which card to save on :3 Once I got home, I practically threw the disc in my Playstation and booted it up. After the familiar loading screen (the sound of which always used to frighten me a little; anyone who owned a Playstation at a young age can attest to that), my ears were met with the musical brilliance of Stewart Copeland, and the purple dragon of destiny sat squarely in front of me, waiting for me to begin the adventure of a lifetime. It truly was a lifetime with Spyro, as I still actively play any number of the titles in my repetoire, ranging back from Playstation (yes, I still have this Spyro game) all the way up past Enter the Dragonfly, A Hero's Tail, and eventually into the Legend of Spyro trilogy, which won the award for the most emotional games that I had ever played up to that point. As much as they deviated from the originals, they were excellent games in their own respect, with stunning graphics (coming from the Playstation 2, they were truly next-gen graphics), a selection of fantastic voice actors (Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, David Spade, Kevin Richardson...I'm lookin' at you!), and a beautiful coming-of-age storyline that spanned the three titles. These games all hold a remarkably large spot in my heart, and the purple dragon will forever be special to me :) Darksiders and Darksiders 2- I could go on and on about these titles, but I can pretty much sum them up in one line: the most immersive, challenging, story-driven, logic-based, graphically stunning, combat-heavy RPGs that I have ever had the pleasure of playing again, and again, and again XD Kind of like Dark Souls, but a lot less punishing :P Big Bang Mini DS- A slightly more obscure title for the Nintendo DS, but wonderful surprises often hide in obscurity, as I found out when I opened this game up for the first time. Graphically gorgeous, with fantastic, mesmerizingly peaceful soundtracks, and an impossibly difficult end boss XD Honestly, if I felt like getting high, this would be THE game to play XD Clash of Clans- This game gets a lot of hate, as just being another one of those, "you-can't-have-a-life-if-you-wanna-get-anywhere" games; well, that's kind of true :P I probably spend a solid 4 hours throughout an average day, managing my 3 different accounts, which are all at different levels. I won't bore you with my progress in the game, so I'll just say that I've been playing it for close to 2 years now :P Great game, with tons of content, obnoxious wait times for upgrading things (2 weeks for some stuff later on, seriously?!), and lots of strategic combat. Aside from the waiting, it really is the perfect game for me :P (Update: After reaching Titan 1 as a premature Town Hall 9, I hung my hat and have since moved on from Clash. It was fun to set the record for furthest push as an underdeveloped TH9, but between the harassment and the insane amount of time it took up, it just wasn't worth continuing) I'm certain that I have a plethora of other games to list, but I think this list is probably already a fair bit too long :P Favorite Sports to Play: Track & Field- I've been in track since my early middle school days, and I really enjoy the whole "competing as both a team and an individual" aspect of it :) In middle school, I was a short distance sprinter, doing both the 100m and the 200m dash, and the 200m relay. For field events, I was a long jumper, because a big part of jumping is speed. Once I got into high school, there were many kids who were either in football or cross country that joined. I had a lot more competition for being a sprinter because there were so many other kids coming in that were just as fast or even a little faster than I was. In short, I fazed myself out of sprinting in favor of a completely different attribute...shot put :D When I went through with the other freshman to try each different area (sprinting, throwing, jumping, etc), I was proportionally better at throwing than any of the other areas, so I decided to give it a try. And the first day of practice can be summed up with two simple words...holy...shit XD Those are really the only two words that come to mind, because I was so scared when I saw some of the other guys I would be throwing with! Most of them were these huge, overly muscular, "I eat an entire tub of whey protein for breakfast" kind of guys, and I was just a little, inexperienced freshman (don't get me wrong, I was never "little" or "weak", but in comparison to those guys, I was). Thank god that my throwing coach was such an amazingly compassionate person, or I probably would've quit the team. Honestly, I mean it when I say that he looked like a thicker, more muscular Jamie Hyneman (from Mythbusters). Beret and everything, he was the real deal XD Maybe that's why I was able to be so comfortable around him, which really helped to bust up my anxiety :P But all fears aside, the technicality and precision of throwing a shot put blew my mind. I mean, you can't just wind up and hurl a 12 pound hunk of metal; otherwise, you can expect to lose your shoulder :P He spent a lot of time with each of us, including the seasoned throwers, and really helped to break down the motions for us. He was a firm believer in learning by trial, and so he would demonstrate something, and have us spend nearly an entire practice under his watch, just doing those one or two motions. Really, I was fine and dandy with all of that, but the most intimidating part of throwing was yet to come. Practice was typically about 2 hours, with the first hour to actually work on throwing technique and practice throwing out of the throwing circle, but the second hour, was working out in the weight room XD And good lord, was I scared of getting on the bench in front of all the other big muscular throwers XD If it wasn't for one of the two other freshman who were throwers, I probably would've just played around with the resistance equipment and the fancy machines, and then hid in the bathroom or left practice early :P Me and him didn't talk much, but we were in the same boat, both being afraid of lifting with the big guys. So we kind of buddied up, and we used each other as motivation to just go in and get it done. That little system ended up working pretty well, and I was able to start becoming familiar with the bench press. The real magic was when I tried out the squat rack for the first time :P My legs are much more muscular than my arms, and when I was able to find myself hoisting 45's onto the bar on the first day, it made me feel pretty damn good :) By the end of the year, I was able to squat about 225 lbs, weighing around 170 myself, and it dramatically impacted my confidence! By the end of the year, I had improved my personal record from 28' 10'' to 32' 4'', and sophomore year, it improved to 34' 6'', though technically 35' 10'; we held a throw-off for the guys who weren't going to state, and I fell out of the circle after that throw. Many swears and frustrated shouts followed suit, and my coach left the other guys to take me on a little walk to blow off some steam. He congratulated me for having such a good throw, and I told him that it didn't matter, because it didn't count. He then told me that he was happy that I was so angry, because it meant that I cared about how well I perform, and that he can clearly see that I have power and potential :) That's why I loved my coach so much, is because he was so supportive, and he was real :) He wasn't just a coach who barked orders and told you to do better, he was a real person. He encouraged me the whole way, and even got me to take up another throwing event: discus :) It really worked out, because many aspects of the throw stay the same between shot and disc, which made learning the form a lot easier :P By the end of sophomore year, I was throwing over 100 feet, and once I realized how much confidence I was building, that's when throwing became fun :D This year, I will join track once again, and I hope to join again my senior year as well :) Favorite Authors: Kathryn Lasky- I really enjoy novels about animals, and many of her novels were just that :D The Guardians of Ga'Hoole and The Wolves of the Beyond were my 2 favorite series by her, and they were amazing! Christopher Paolini- There's no denying that when I picked up Eragon for the first time, I was hooked XD Dragons are my favorite mythical animal, and I was so excited to read the book, that I had to convince my elementary school librarian to let me read it because she said I was too young and it was too hard of a book :P I wish I could go back and tell her how great of a book it was, but she's retired now XD If only she could see me now...heh...what a rag :P James Patterson- His series, Maximum Ride, was my favorite Young Adult book series when I first started reading it in middle school :D Such a cool world in those books! Rick Riordan- Around 4th or 5th grade, I was given The Lightning Thief as a birthday present, and needless to say, it became my favorite series of the year :D I absolutely devoured every book in the series, and then went on to get my hands on every comprehensive guide, little books sold exclusively at my school Book Fair, and basically anything to do with Percy Jackson & the Olympians XD My Favorite Pups In Order: 1. Marshall- I absolutely LOVE his silly personality! He's adorable, he's a klutz, and he's...man, he's just so dang cute XD Without a doubt, this little Dalmatian has stolen my heart :3 2. Chase- His serious nature is priceless, and German Shepherds are my favorite breed of dog :D Super cute, and refuses to show his love for Skye, which makes for some adorably awkward situations :P And man, do I miss Tristan Samuel's voice! 3. Tracker- He's got big ears and he speaks Spanish. What more do I have to say? :) 4. Rocky- It's pretty interesting that his breed isn't known, and on top of that, he's super handy with mechanics and technology! Stuart Ralston is a fantastic voice actor (My favorite from the show aside from Gage Munroe, who was the perfect voice actor for Marshall), and did a great job making Rocky super adorable :D 5. Zuma- Don't even get me started on his speech impediment...SOOOO CUTE XD Great job there, Alex Thorne :D And then once you factor in the big, floppy ears, with his super chill personality...BAM! Simply adorable :D 5. Everest- When I first watched "The New Pup", and I saw her for the first time, I felt a big smile cross my face, and I physically "aww"ed at the screen :3 Berkley Silverman's voice is perfect for Everest's high-strung, always happy personality :) By the way, love the hat :D 6. Skye- I'm a little wishy-washy with how I feel about her, but for the most part, I enjoy her bubbly, flippy personality :) I always pictured her as being a little more uptight, being part Poodle, but on a children's TV show, that probably wouldn't work too well :P She's still pretty cute, and overall, I like her :) 7. Rubble- Oh, man, where do I start? Rubble...His little yips and yelps hurt my ears, I'm not a fan of Bulldogs, and apparently, he's good at singing, which really doesn't help his little ego problem. As far as I'm concerned, Marsh is the only one with a good singing voice...certainly not a yelping little mutt :P And he REALLY needs to get some new phrases to say; "Rubble, on the double!" "Rubble on the double!" "Rubble on the double!" Oh, for the love of god, just be quiet! XD He's cute, I'll give him that, but I can't stand the rest of him :P Just for the record, all the boy pups minus Rubble are basically tied as my favorites, but Marshall is my definitive favorite pup :) If you've been on the computer for hours on end, reading numerous fanfictions, copy this onto your profile, and add your name to this list: danyan, StarDragon411, Mystic Katt, TrueThinker, Softballgirl9411, Witchdoctor42, zara2148, ChocolateBar2013, XSniderXD, CrypticCheetah Phew! It was really time for an update on the ol' profile page :P Heh, if you made it all the way to the bottom here, congratulations! You're either genuinely interested, an impatient scroller, or one of those people who always checks the bottom of the page first before returning to the top for a proper viewing; in any case, thanks for spending some time and getting to know me a little better :D As a little "bonus" for getting to this point, I thought I might include a rather interesting fact abou tme :3 Heheh, there are only 4 people in the entire world who know this before you, so I hope you feel pretty special :P Anyways, I am what's known as a Diaper Lover, or DL for short. I enjoy wearing diapers, which are very comforting to me, and being a DL is something that I've been for my entire life. There are no ill effects to wearing them, and they make me happy, so why not? \_(ツ)_/ |
