![]() Author has written 1 story for Hot Gimmick. Well, for starters, I'm a girl who loves reading fanfiction but loathes writing it. Currently I'm stuck in the transitional stages of the junior and senior years in high school. Sort of surprised that I didn't get sucked into Twilight, but I guess my hatred for it can be explained by my Hot Gimmick spiel below. Favorite manga/anime/movie/book/food/water/color/disney movie: Naruto, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Card Captor Sakura, Yugioh, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Cantarella, Ranma, Inuyasha, Weiss Kreuz, Chrono Crusade, W Juliet, Prince of Tennis, Ragnarok, X/1999, etcetera etcetera (well, actually, Etcetera is pretty good too). Phantom of the Opera by Gast Leroux, Beauty and the Beast, orange and green, cold water, Japanese/Italian/Korean/Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese/Mexican/Peruvian food, and anything by Roald Dahl (that guy will be the death of me--yeah, you guessed it; the death by laughing too much). Hayao Miyazaki movies are pretty good. Especially his new ones. Worst manga in the world: Ceres, Celestial Maiden or whatever its called. Want to know the reason why it's of poor quality? Easy. The faces all look the same. There's no artistic illustrations whatsoever. The plot is also poorly done. Blah! That mangaka needs illustration lessons from kindergardeners if she ever wants to progress. A quote from my life: "A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." (hint to KuroFai) I'm not really the one with the positive attitude all the time. I've just been affected by it from many others, lol. And I'd also like to add that the ending of Hot Gimmick nearly killed me. I had been rooting for Shinogu and Hatsumi to be together the whole time, but inwardly I knew that Hatsumi would end up with Ryoki (which is a whole other can of worms in itself). And what killed me even more was that Miki Aihara (the mangaka of Hot Gimmick) didn't even give Shinogu a happy ending with a love of his own. But I can accept that a lot better than how Hatsumi is as a person. I guess she's just one of those human beings who loves suppression of free will, domestic violence, total control and injustice (over her). She has the ultimate masochistic tendencies and enjoys oppression of any kind. When I really get down to it, I firmly believe that Shinogu is better off without a spineless girl like her. I can't even imagine them together...it just wouldn't work. The only thing I can take heart with is Shinogu. I just feel really bad for him; that he had to fall in love with someone so frustratingly masochistic, and that he can't get over her. If you think I'm being harsh, read the manga and judge for yourself. |
