Introduction:
Greetings dear reader, I am Jay Sabere but my pen name is Sabere Commander. I use this profile to write fan stories for some of the series I like. You will find that many of them are unfinished at the moment but that is because I am an inspiration writer. I only write for the story if I have inspiration to do so. I started writing these because I enjoyed writing them and that's not about to change. However, that does not mean you should lose hope for some stories that are not finished. I fully intend to finish those unfinished ones or rewrite them.
You'll find a wide variety of fan stories on this profile. Many range from movies to anime to video games. If you happen to have questions that are not answered here than you can send me a private message and I will respond. I have been writing fan stories since I was 14 years old and have amassed quite the bit of experience. If you would like, I can come visit you and review your story-you need only request it. Be warned though, I tend to be harsh and blatant when reviewing. I give few if any delusions of grandeur to the writer, so take that as you may.
Be warned, I have other things in my life to take priority of writing stories here. Should I not respond or disappear for some time then I am probably dealing with said things. This is purely a hobby and my main passion lies in writing original works of fiction, making animations and drawing various things. I have a Youtube channel under the same pen name and I am still in school at the time of this update. You can find my stories and my recommended author's list below.
Have a nice day.
Recommended Authors:
Christian Knight:
He is a fan writer for multiple series but has a special place in his heart for Halo. He primarily specializes in longer multi-chapter stories. He has written for the series: Five Nights at Freddy's, Call of Duty, Alpha and Omega, and Halo. He spaces his updates out because he is in college and doesn't always have time to write. He is a nice person and I recommend you get to know him-his stories are really high quality too.
Section8bypass:
He is an author the deal primarily with Alpha and Omega stories. He has written and completed one story for the series and is working on another one. He likes free running and urges others to try it and check out his Youtube channel. In the recent months/years he's been less active. None the less, I recommend you give his completed story a read-it really is well done.
Nightshade316:
He is a new author on this site and is learning as he goes. He does pretty decent work and is primarily an Undertale fan writer. I recommend you jump over to his profile and give him a friendly welcome to the site. Also make sure to give his stories a reading-you might find yourself actually liking them. Anyways, he's got a lot of potential and is a nice person.
Updates:
I have tried conforming to a set schedule of when I update a story. After many failed attempts to do so I have decided to do away with the concept. This means updates are random and may happen in sudden bursts or be spaced out across months. While this means you'll never be sure on when the next addition will be added, I have taken some steps to at least help readers figure out where a story is on it's life cycle. You can find a log of the story arcs in certain stories below.
A Long Time Coming: Prologue Arc - 50%
The Twists of Fate: Sawtooth Arc - Complete
The Twists of Fate: Total War Arc - 0%
The Pursuit of Happiness: Progresses with the Show

Need some Advice?
On this part of my profile page you can find bits of information. This information can be seen as advice if you wish. There is no guarantee this information will aid you but it is from my experience that it will. Regardless, take a glance through this section and see if any of it is of assistance. Everyone had to acquire help at some point, so why shouldn't you?
Reinvent the Portal Crossover:
If you've looked through a series cross over sections on any fan fiction site, then you have seen a story using a portal as the medium for characters to interact with different worlds. If you have read enough of them like I have then you'll notice a reoccurring theme in these types of stories. Use the portal to transport character A to universe B and then throw it out. For many stories it comes in the form of a science machine malfunctioning or being used by an idiot-sometimes it comes from an immense amount of power being compressed into one space and thus tears the fabric of the universe they live in. In any case, try to do something new with the portal instead of just using it and kicking it to the curb. I think you'll find it can open a number of avenues for your story to expand and grow.
Nerfing/Buffing Characters:
This is when a character or group of characters or weakened or made absurdly strong. The reasons behind such an action vary vastly depending on who you talk to. In any case, doing this will not make your story balanced and it will not make your story more popular. The last thing people expect to see when a powerful character meets a weak one is for him to suddenly and unexplainable be pitifully weak. This will only serve to make the fans of the weakened characters upset.
This can be done well though-within reason. A poison is a completely logical explanation for someone becoming weakened. Restrains being placed on their power can work too, so can sever injury or a life changing crisis. All of the aforementioned excuses are viable and work but weakening someone for no good reason is terrible and lazy writing. I will never expect someone like Aquaman to be able to beat Superman, nor a measly clone trooper to defeat Sith Lord Darth Vader-or, in some extreme cases, a monster that uses fire balls for fighting being compared to a alien that has the power to blow up planets in its finger nail.
Fluff:
A lot of people confuse the terms Filler and Fluff but the two are different. Filler is an event or series of events that doesn't actually happen in the story. It's there purely to entertain the readers and buy more time for the author/director. Fluff, on the other hand, is moments were character building is happening. Most fluff probably isn't necessary but it's put there to help flesh out the character more for the reader. I, for one, love it and think it's a valuable tool in any author's arsenal and helps lead to the best stories.
The Mary-Sue:
These are original characters created by the author that overshadow the main cast. They can be put in wish fulfillment fan stories, thus making them self inserts, or they can just be a character the author hasn't refined into a person. You can easily spot a Mary-Sue because they don't blend in with the background or other characters. They are special, the most special in the series, and as such-they tend to steal the spotlight in important moments of the story. The Mary-Sue is a template character that has yet to be molded into anything actually worth while. While these are present in original works of fiction, it doesn't mean you should put them out there.
There is another group that often gets roped in with Mary-Sues, the over powered(O.P) original character. These characters excel at specific things that take the tension out of a story. A story is nothing without tension, as tension is the direct result of conflict and every story has conflict. If a original character is described as being O.P. then that just means they make things too easy. You can rectify this by putting up drawbacks and thus balancing them with the story or you can scrap the character and start fresh. In any case, an O.P. character is not the same as a Mary-Sue and is comparatively better than one.
