Hi! What can I say other than I am a cartoon nerd, but I write fanfics to shows I know that probably won't have anything I would like to see happen! The reason why I'm a cartoon nerd: Brace yourself for a boring but very informal story... I guess my love of cartoons started when I was born during the great Disney Renaissance, by the time I was growing older in the late 90's I watched a lot of Disney cartoon shows, some of them go back to when I was very little or before I was born! By the early 2000's Nick and Cartoon Network were prime channels to watch, my favorite shows were, Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Danny Phantom, All Grown Up, Teen Titans, the retro Scooby Doo cartoons, and I watched 4kids tv, with the first english dub of Winx Club. I watched lots of Disney stuff too, being Lilo and Stitch: The Series, Kim Possible, Emperor's New School, so many others I cannot seem to list at the moment (How lame is that). Then in my teens to current time, it's Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Monsters vs. Aliens, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and of course from my fanfics, Word Girl. (Or as I would like to call it the age of Clones, Ponies, and Words oh my!) (Bad... I know XD) My favorite current shows of nowadays are Miraculous Ladybug, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, The Lion Guard, Big Hero 6: The Series, Ducktales (the reboot), Elena of Avalor, Star Vs the Forces of Evil, Tangled: The Series, and Owl House. Hope that clears up why I like to call myself this name. At this moment I would like to point out to please check out KidatHeart5's profile, because they have really good stories! And this person could use the support. I also have a Fimfiction account under the same name for my, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fanfictions. Progress Reports Let's start with Word Girl since it is the first cartoon series I wrote for Fanfiction. I have two fanfics that still need finishing. The Lexicon Betrothal: I'm currently stuck on this one, I have the ending all planned out, but writing for the middle is so hard! I don't want to pull it, but I may have to if inspiration doesn't come in. And the fact, I'm on other fanfictions that need my attention at the moment. Word Girl's Slumber: Pretty much the same reason as Lexicon Betrothal. And another reason I haven't wrote this in awhile is because ever since the Word Girl hiatus where I am from, I am way far behind on the series. And for my biggest writing projects, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Incomplete Works: Due to lack of reviews and interest I don't think I'll get back to these anytime soon, sorry. The Swan Pony: It's at the Practice, Practice, Practice scene, may take awhile. Enchantment Passing Through: Just got to find the right way to finish the ending. That's Showbiz!: Just got to get that Dance-thon done! Love in the Wind: Need a song for the party scene. Children of Harmony: Chapter four is going to star Fire Spark and his little sister, Starling so they can bond. The Star-Cross Lovers: My first pony parody of Romeo and Juliet starring Good King Sombra and Princess Celestia, who are force to hide their relationship from the forces of evil and good. Wedding Bell Blues Deleted Story Twilight Enchanted: Sorry, guys, but I didn't have the heart to finish this story not when Sunset's character has rapidly changed. Maybe I'll redo this with a new stepsister, we'll see. My Little Pony Kids: Yeah, I just wasn't feeling keeping it up anymore when I know I'm never going back to it. My First Ever Book! Hey everyone I just want to spread the news that I have digitally published my first book on ! It's called The Prince in Disguise: The Mysterious Doll. It's the first story of a fairytale series I created. And yes, I used my real name below the title so if you are going to check out my book, all I ask is that you refrain from using my name on this site, please and thank you. So yeah, I'm very excited to see how things will turn out and I hope you will read my story and I really hope you will like it. Vision Dominican brought up an interesting albeit tragically true idea: "Lack of reviews is the greatest killer of fanfic writers out there. We at the institute wish to let the public know of how they can pitch in to save our dying writers. 1) Drop a review every other chapter. It may not seem like much, but reviews are actually what many of us want to see. That, and hits. Hits do make us happy but we don't really know if people like our story or not. 2) Visit our author page. Those kind of hits really make us happy. It's where we showcase our entourage of friends, beta readers, and stories. Some of us even tidy up with set areas for upcoming story ideas and character bios. 3) Send an email. While normally I'd prefer a review, emails are just as good. Really, it warms my heart to communicate with another reader or writer." What you call being "too lazy to review" is what we call "a flame to the pages" as the writers. That one minute or two that you felt "too lazy" to review is another minute of creeping discouragement that all writers feel as they begin to think... "Why am I even here…?" "What's even the point of continuing?" "My skills must be terrible…no one cares for my story…" "I'll never be a good writer...I quit." These are only a few thoughts that go through every writer's head- that go through MY head- when we put out a chapter / story with all our heart and soul within, and we sit there…and sit…and wait…and not a single person says even a word. If you're not a writer, you have NO IDEA how much that hurts… If you ARE a writer, then I'm sure you know just how great it feels when someone is kind enough to leave a heartwarming and encouraging review, and you read it, smiling while thinking…"Wow…fuck...I did it…" So, why not give fellow writers the same luxury here? Too many times I've seen epic and utterly beautiful works of literary art fall to pieces before finally being abandoned due to the terrible discouragement that the lack of reviews can cause. Sometimes, it is so severe that the very writer himself decides to quit, denying the world his skills of writing that I'm sure it would have deeply enjoyed. So… Just one minute, that's all it takes. Just a few gentle taps of the fingers on your keyboard, a few seconds or so of your time, and your words can SAVE a writer from a dark demise. Do me a favor: Go find a story, ANY story, anywhere here on Fanfic, net, and see if you can help it. If it has very little / no reviews at all, just check it out, and say whatever comes to mind. And enjoy the thought in mind that you could have just SAVED that story, with just a few taps of the keyboard… If you agree with what I have said then please copy and paste any part of this story you wish onto your profile. Modify it in any way you see fit; there is no need to use my exact words. You make it say what you want it to say. -TheBigBadWolf1 and Vision Dominican |
