![]() Author has written 6 stories for Supernatural, Doctor Who, Spider-Man, How to Train Your Dragon, Avengers, Marvel, and Daredevil. First and foremost I know there is a 99.9% you are purely here for It's On Again and Wayward Strangers. Well. Unfortunately my interest in writing Wayward Strangers and It's On Again has waned significantly. As in, I will not be continuing to write them. I will probably use the ideas I explored in them for future fics on my AO3 account of the same name or for original fiction, but they are, for the most part, deceased. I'm quite disappointed that I won't be finishing them, but my motivation to write for them was lost sometime in 2015, to the point where it's been a chore to even think about continuing. My writing style has changed in the years since I last wrote for them, and if I were to continue the stories now I think you would find a less captivating and more analytic writing style - derived from a frankly absurd number of scientific essays I have had to write in the last few years - would make them very different stories to what they are now. I'll always be sad that I wasn't able to finish them, but it's been an experience. I learned so much from writing them, and I'll always be grateful for the attention and support you have given me. I started writing these as a child, and looking back on them now as an adult, I'm still bewildered by the support and love I was given. But, I hear some of you say. What happens? How do they end? Do Peter and Kamala escape? Does Hiccup ever see his father again? You can't leave us hanging like this! I have an outline for Wayward Strangers. It's not much at all, scant sentences describing what will come. But I know how it ends and if any of you are at all interested in taking up the reins, you are so very welcome to do so. Simply message me, and I'll tell you what was planned to happen. Don't like what my plans were? Then you can do whatever you like. The same applies for It's On Again. But in this case, there is no plan. Each chapter of that fanfiction was planned ... after the one before was written. It was really a 'what do I feel like making these characters do today?' situation. All I can tell you is that Harry Osborn did, eventually, find and rescue Peter. But there is no end. I had - and still have - no idea how it finishes. And so once again, if you would like to continue it in the way you best see fit, you are most welcome. If any of you decide to take up the challenge, my only requests are these: message me to tell me you've decided to give it a go, and send me a link when you put it online! (and because the internet is a hideous place, I do have to say don't claim my work as your own! The chapters I have written are my baby, even if I did end up leaving that baby in an abandoned carpark outside a service station. Just make sure you give me credit for the original chapters, and the rest is yours, to do with what you wish.) Au revoir, et merci pour votre soutien. I couldn't have done any of this without you. I'm sorry to have left them unfinished, but I guess we just have to keep looking forward. All of you are filled with creativity and the ability to write masterpieces, and I can only hope that I'll be reading yours one day. With lots of love, Alexa |
