I believe in magic. The kind of magic that lets me open the cereal bag on the first try, rather than tugging angrily until I spray the kitchen with cereal bits. I don't believe in the kind of magic that gives me an awesome hair day when I'm not going anywhere.

I love sports but mostly I love soccer. I should sound enlightened and say I love futbol but I was born in the US so soccer it is. When I say I love soccer, I mean I loooooove soccer. Soccer fields, soccer gear, soccer clothes, soccer players, watching soccer live and on tv, playing soccer. I have two soccer tattoos, much to my mom's chagrin. Soccer is life. Soccer also got me two surgeries on my knee but I ain't mad it.

I watch way too much television, which I'm okay with. I buy new music almost every day, mostly due to my love of television shows and their love of using awesome songs. But, if I didn't love television as much as I did, I wouldn't be writing fan fiction and if I wasn't writing fan fiction then you wouldn't be reading this so let's all go high-five our televisions for a minute. Well, not for a full minute. You'll probably knock it over. You know what? Scratch the high five thing. Let's just all agree that tv shows are awesome. Not all of them, of course. I totally mean the ones I watch like Glee, Lost Girl, The Killing, True Blood, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Lucifer, Grimm, Chicago PD, The Bates Motel, Wynonna Earp, New Girl, Modern Family, Ghost Adventures, Black Sails, Chopped, Into the Badlands, Killjoys, Dark Matter, The Strain, The 100, Cutthroat Kitchen, Days of Our Lives, Law and Order: SVU, Cold Justice, The Daily Show, Gotham, Marvel Agents of Shield, The Americans, Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, Chicago Fire, Rizzoli and Isles, Once Upon a Time, and 40 others. Probably 40 others. I don't know. My DVR and I have an agreement not to talk about it.

I write fan fiction - obvs. I write it because it's fun but also because my brain acts like a whole bag of packing peanuts when it really likes a show or a ship and clings to the stupid characters and story lines until I need to shake them out of my head. Sometimes it looks like a shampoo commercial and sometimes it looks like I'm getting electrocuted and that pretty much sums up my fic. I think. :-D

I'd rather be sweaty at the gym than dressed up fancy at a party but the reason I have learned to love to be sweaty at the gym is because I pretty much ate the party. And the old adage about your metabolism fainting like a dramatic drag queen after a certain age is true for a reason. It's all good though - I love being active. I also love french fries and ice cream. It's a constant Thunderdome between those three but so far, the gym is winning.

At the end of the day, if I made at least one person laugh and talked to my family at least once, I consider it a successful day. Also, if at the end of the day I'm still breathing oxygen, I chalk that up into the win column too. :-)
