I have to admit it's taken me several tries to get into this story. I absolutely loved "taking the long road" but you changed your writing style in this one. I like that you changed the POV to Brittany, but the "you said, you this, you thats" took a little bit of getting used to. All of that being said, I love the world you made for them and look forward to future fics. Thank you.

Thank you so much for writing this. It honestly was beautiful. This sequel talked about more than just an epic love story with an amazing ending with hope in the future, like Taking the Long Way. It talked about a family, and the reality and beauty of it. I can't pick between this or the original story, but I just can't thank you enough.

I've been reading this right after finished Taking The Long Way and I have to say it's been such a fun ride. I knew from the very beginning when you used Brittany's POV that it would be very angsty, and it really is but also totally beautiful. My heart is so warm when I read the last sentence of the story. It's just perfect!

Do you know what the two things I love the most about TtLW and MaYaD (including WtDF)? First, you don't use much of other glee club members as main characters (because I really sick of that tbh). Second (and more important), those stories are so mentally and emotionally realistic with clever perspective about stuff in real life. To me, you literally are one of the best Brittana writers who really understands them and how relationship and real life work.

I cannot express my love for this enough - only to say that I'm not sure I'd be strong enough to write something so beautiful, and that I thank you for sharing it with us, because it obviously has so much love poured into it straight from the heart. I do not believe it's possible to express just how meaningful it is. And I thank you.
It was quite astounding to be a passenger in this journey - both of them. I'm sure that that's all I can say. This takes their lives so far beyond what we see elsewhere that the show itself seems shallow. It seems like it doesn't exist, in actuality - that these two were drawn from the air, from their life, instead of a mind. You have truly captured the true Santana and Brittany.
Don't think that this is simple flattery - it's not. I read thousands of books every year - good books, not so good books, and in between books. Novels and short stories and poems and songs - comedies and romantic comedies and tragedies and lovestories. I have read Hugo, and Eliot, and Shakespeare, and Austen, and Tolstoy.
I have read the most famous, most meaningful romantic novels in the world, and I'm telling you right now with no reserves and no attempt at flattery, no attempt at anything besides pure truth, that the story of these two that you have laid to words is the best lovestory I have ever come across.

I'm reading "Lady M" and my anxiety is horrible.

All right. Honestly, sometimes it takes a lot for me to cry at stories, sometimes nothing. Sometimes it's just because I feel weird or it's a sensitive subject. But chapter twenty-three, Ashes, has me bawling. It touched my heart. It's so undeniably true and heartbreaking and beautiful. How much longer do we have left? How many more times do we get to smile at a beautiful scene? Laugh at a joke? Kiss our parents? It just proves how precious our time is. It's not that life is short - perhaps it is - but in all truth, I believe that when people say that they sometimes mean that life is precious. You shouldn't waste it. There is so much to do, so much love to give, that it's overwhelming.

I just wanted to add that your writing is amazing. I can FEEL the atmosphere change with each transition - the addition of Ruby gives the story a totally different feel. Each moment does. It's like I'm feeling their emotions WITH them, and I know that only an incredible writer is capable of doing that.
