Kakashi sat back in his chair, hands folded behind his head, and waited.

There was a muffled stomping up the stairs, a loud bang, some inspired cursing, and a “I know what the hell I’m doing, just let me past goddammit,” and then the door swung open.

A disheveled Umino Iruka stood in the doorway, glaring at him.

“So?” he said pleasantly.

“The answer is five,” Iruka said curtly. “Here are your damn skittles, and the names of everyone currently on the main street. Now can you stop with the inane tasks and just let me get back to work already?”

Not quite yet,” Kakashi said. He patted the chair beside him. “I need you to sit here and colour-code those skittles, and then rewrite those names in alphabetical order.”

Iruka stomped over to the desk and tipped the bag of colourful candy out onto it, sitting down with a thump. “You’re abusing your power, you know.”

“Oh, I know,” Kakashi said cheerfully, leaning one elbow on the desk and resting his head on his hand to better gaze at the disgruntled teacher. “It’s great. I’m glad I became Rokudaime.”
