Good morning/afternoon/evening/night! If you're here, I suppose you've seen my username somewhere and clicked on it. Hopefully because you liked one of my fics. Probably because you wondered what sort of bizarre person chooses a username like 'amethystwren'. Ah, well, you see, there is a reason for this alias of mine. The 'amethyst' part comes from my birthstone, which also happens to be my favourite stone because it is such a pretty colour. And the 'wren' part comes from the unremarkable-looking little bird, with sort of muddy brown feathers. Because I just so happen to like wrens. So there.

What to say, what to say... I'm British. Yes, that's important. I'm British, so things might be spelt 'wrong' when actually, as far as I'm concerned, they're spelt perfectly. It's just that sometimes, different countries spell the same things in different ways. I'm sure you know the drill- "colour" vs "color" etc. So before you tell me my spelling is atrocious, please double-check it's not just my funny British ways. And if it is indeed a mistake on my part, tell me. I shall fix it :D But be polite. Manners are good. I like manners. Yes. (Jeez, Effie Trinket and I would get on wonderfully, wouldn't we?)

I've been writing fanfiction for a few years now, and some of my earlier stuff is absolutely awful. That's not even me being modest. It's actually terrible. But, you know, some people apparently liked it, so I'll leave it here. But I swear to goodness I have improved. At least, I think I've improved. But, uh, read the more recent stuff. I recommend that more than I do my earlier fics. Unless you want to read my earlier stuff. But just know I've probably got better at this whole writing thing since I wrote it, 'kay? 'Kay.
