Hey, I am Lauren.

I go to JMU where I am a Journalism/Theatre double major. I have always liked making up stories, and it always gets especially bad when I watch a movie. I tend to insert my own characters into various films or TV shows. Sometimes, I just use what I am given and change it from there, so you could say I have always written fan fiction in my head, but I don't put it on paper often. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Supernatural. I also love musicals and comic books. I guess you could call me a well-rounded nerd. I love all the older disney movies (and most of the new ones, but not anything from disney channel). I like the Disney Pixar films as well. I also like Christopher Nolan Movies (i.e. Dark Knight, Inception etc) and I LOVE the Shawshank Redemption. Watch it RIGHT NOW if you haven't. I prefer action movies/comic book movies to most other kinds (Disney animated features are in an entirely different category), and I don't like Horror films, though I can watch them. except Korean horror. That stuff's crazy. But, basically, I like movies where a lot of stuff happens, I am not really a romantic type person (again, I don't count Disney movies, because they are just made of Win). Occasionally I will watch shows like Smallville, House, Bones and I used to watch Heroes and Lost. But lately I've been more into British TV (as mentioned above). I don't really watch too much TV in general. However, I have also watched and loved Avatar the Last Airbender (the show, not the movie) and Danny Phantom. And, of course, Starkid Productions kind of make my life.

I am a huge Musical geek, but I have only seen "Annie Get Your Gun," "Wicked," "Hairspray," "Cats," "Dreamgirls," "Phantom of the Opera" "Kiss Me Kate" "Les Miserables" "Sweeney Todd" "25th Annuel Putnum County Spelling Bee" and "Spring Awakening" onstage. "Legally Blonde," "Avenue Q" "Spamalot" and "Shrek, The musical" I watched on You Tube.

I love to read, write, act, sing, and draw. Basically, give me something creative and I tend to enjoy it. I have played both Piano and Flute, and I took voice lessons as well. I played softball and soccer from the time I was 5 until I was 14, when people started taking it too seriously, and I swam on the local Swim Team for about thirteen years. Mostly though, I am not sporty. Currently, I do Tae Kwon Do a few times a week. I am a blue belt! Would have been red, but...I broke my toe right before the test. Oops.

Um...I love to hang out with my friends and just do whatever.

My favorite books are the Harry Potter Series, The Lord of the Rings Series, Chronicles of Narnia, 'Good Omens', and I also enjoy Sophie Kinsella and Jodi Piccoult. I also enjoyed Game of Thrones, though I haven't seen much of the show. I am reading the Adventures Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle right now. My favorite Non-fiction comes from Dave Barry and Danny Wallace. Both are freaking hilarious. Basically, I read everything, though I prefer Fantasy/Action. I kind of hate romance novels,

I am also one of the only girls in the world (I feel) that HATES Jane Austin, the Bronte Sisters, and Shakespeare. Well, I don't hate Shakespeare, but I hate the other two, and would prefer not to read Shakespeare, though I can, and I really enjoyed MacBeth, Twelfth Night and King Lear. And that is all I have to say about that.
