About Me... Hello, my name is Elsie. I am an avid anime consumer, novice writer, and aspiring dental hygienist. Back in the Dinosaur Ages (also known as middle school), my real life bestie and sometimes beta reader AuroraBorealia introduced me to the wonderful world of Fanfiction. I have enjoyed posting occasional ficlets and perusing a few forums in my hayday.

I have been inactive until recently, when AB and I implemented a goal-setting system--using fanfiction as a mutual reward! It is amazing how much you can accomplish when you have a fun and productive activity to motivate you. I encourage you to consider finding a writer buddy or two help you stay honest about your goals and brainstorm ways to stay on top of your New Years resolutions.

A few notes on previous and current work...

Throughout my fanfiction.net haitus, I have been consistently reading fics and absorbing lots of awesome creative energy from you all! Most of my previous work was written in middle/high school, so please forgive the over-dramatic tidal wave of sappy pairings, hormones, and general weirdness, haha.

I won't pretend I'm not still a total mushball for well-writen, dynamic pairings and other types of romantic relationships, but much of my reading/writing has shifted focus to action/adventure-driven plot, examinations of social/economic institutional issues within the settings of given fandoms, and character studies. I'll still keep most of the old romantic works posted, especially the completed ones, as a nostalgic reminder of wonderful, silly days gone by.

Hetalia Steampunk Human AU!

Summary: One day, young Matthew Bonnefoi sneaks onto the airship of the famous captain and explorer Jeanne D'Arc. Together, they embark on a whirlwind adventure with the Bad Touch Trio to reclaim one of the most priceless artefacts ever discovered. When their ship is suddenly attacked by pirates, and Matthew is forced to make one of the hardest decisions in his life.

Dragon Age Inquistion and Harry Potter Crossover!

Summary: Neville Longbottom never suspected that his incredible work with banyan trees would lead to the creation of an accidental time-space portal. As a result of his mishap, Neville meets a group of mysterious strangers who soon become friends he will never forget. And perhaps he has found a solution to the monotony of life as a Hogwarts professor at last.

Favorite Books: There are too many to count. Classic favourites of our generation include the Harry Potter series and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (also, The Hobbit--yikes, they could have done better with those movies. Three? Was that necessary. Ugh. Love Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, and of course the majestic Ian McKellan, though.)

As for some actual classics, I enjoy Scheherazade's One Thousand and One Nights, Cientos años de soledad (Sí, hablo español también, pero mis historias escritas en español no son tan buenas), the Sherlock Holmes collection, and of course the occasional Shakespeare. Except Romeo and Juliet. Because it's stupid.

Currently Reading: Good and Mad by Rebecca Traistor, a call to all women to be vocal about our rights and our needs. Civility is not enough. When our fears of being disliked and judged prevent us from speaking up, we snuff out our own voices, voices that have the power to change the injustices that are being done in our country and in our world.

Favourite State: Maine. It's gorgeous. Go there if you get the chance.

Career Dreams: I will be cleaning teeth for my full-time work--if I get into hygiene school, that is.

Passions: Singing, writing, multimedia art, the English language, camping, kayaking, spending time with friends and family

Favourite genres to read and write: Adventure, fantasy, mystery, realistic/historical-based fiction, sci-fi

Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff. We badgers have the most fun!
