![]() Author has written 5 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Harry Potter. Wow, I was looking at my profile the other day and realized that I hadn't updated it in quite a while - a few years actually. How the time flies. Well, I'm entering into my senior year of college at the tender age of 20. My major is Asian Studies with a Chinese language concentration. I tried my hand at Japanese as well. I got two terms in before I decided that I should wait until I've mastered one language before trying to tackle another. I would read the kanji (the Chinese characters that are liberally incorporated into Japanese) and say the Chinese word for it. So, needless to say, my Japanese sensei learned a lot of Chinese that year. Umm...I've been to China three times on various trips and exchange programs. Japan is on my list of countries to visit, but I'm waiting until I have the time and budget to do the country justice, since the American dollar is doing so poorly at the moment and Japan is expensive! As for my hometown, I live in the small town of Rock Hill, South Carolina - I used to think that it was boring, but the further away from home I get the more respect I have for my humble origins. I view writing fanfiction as a sort of stress-relieving hobby - which is why I sometimes write in spurts and other times I completely disappear. If I'm not that stressed, then the writing muse doesn't visit me. Sad, but true. That is probably my worst fault as a writer - it normally takes me months to update a story, but I have to say that when I do update the chapters are usually no less than 10 pages. Since I've been writing for years, there is a vast discrepency between my early works and my recent ones. Many people have asked me to update Saiyajin no Oujo. I went back and read the first couple of chapters and winced at the absolute unbelievabilty of the characters. I just wrote out most of the cliches that exist in the DBZ/SM world and thought it was good. When I do update it (which will probably be a while because I want to finish my baby - Through a Child's Eyes first) it's going to be quite a project and probably look a lot different - at least in the first parts. I do thank all of the fans and reviewers that that stories has gathered. I won't abandon it! I promise. It's just going to take a while to fix up to my satisfaction. I really love DBZ, GW, and SM - as if you couldn't tell from my favorites list, and quite recently I've developed a strange interest in Harry Potter (I think it's me missing a really good friend of mine). If you're looking to branch out into other animes I recommend Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, Full Metal Alchemist, and Pincess Mononoke (as a movie). Well enough of me talking er typing away all of your reading time. I have a tendency to be a little wordy. Everyone has my permission to use my fics on their websites. Just please let me know before hand. Thanks! Now, I'll let you readers do what you do best (reading and reviewing!) My bio currently shows a Chinese flag for my country, but that's because I'm in China right now. I'm sure it'll change back to the US flag when I get back to the States at the end of December. Just to clear up any confusion! |
