Hi, I'm badly-knitted. Well, not literally, because that would just be weird. I can safely assure you that I am not, in fact, knitted - badly or otherwise. Anyway, welcome to my little niche in the great realm that is fanfiction.net. Once I figure out how things work around here, I'll be posting my Torchwood fan fiction here. At the moment, it's only available over on my journal. I'm neither a prolific nor a fast writer, but I hope people will read and enjoy what there is.

I'm a huge fan of the first 2 series of Torchwood, though I hated losing Tosh & Owen. For my stories, I reserve the right to ignore that they died - in my mind they are still alive and well. I also choose to ignore - and even deny the existence of - CoE. I hated the way it destroyed or ignored everything I associated with Torchwood, so for me it never happened. I should also mention here that I do not like Gwen, I never have, so I will avoid writing her wherever possible. I'm sure I can find plenty of reasons for her to be elsewhere.

I'm a lifelong Doctor Who fan, I grew up watching the show, starting with the Third Doctor, so that should give you some idea of how old I am. I've watched every episode of New Who and I love Nine, Ten and Eleven equally. Seriously, my favourite is always the one I happen to be watching at the time.I will admit, though, that I enjoyed Eleven's first series much more that the last few David Tennant specials. Can't even really put my finger on why, just for me those last few specials seemed to be missing something and whatever that missing element was, the most recent series had it in spades. It was everything Doctor Who should be: Fast, fun, thrilling, scary in places, entertaining and Matt Smith makes a very engaging Doctor. I've been dubious about the casting of the Doctor every time, and every time my fears have proved unfounded. Stephen Moffett did a sterling job, revitalising the show and I'm looking forward to the Christmas episode.

I should probably warn any potential readers that while I love reading angst and huge, plotty series, I'm incapable of writing anything like that. I'm fairly certain my brain consists solely of fluff, so that's what I write - unrelenting fluff, involving Jack and Ianto. So far I haven't written the rest of the team as I'm almost certain I will suck at it. So if I do write them and they're really OOC, well, I apologize in advance.

So there you go. I hope when I get around to posting what I've written at least some of you out there will give it a read and let me know what you think. I'm old, I can take it!

LATE UPDATE: I now accept anonymous reviews, so if you don't have an account here but want to tell what you like/don't like about my stories, you now can! Come on, people, don't be shy, I'd love to know what you think, good or bad! I'm getting a lot of hits on my stories, but very few reviews and for a writer, that makes life tough. Any writer will tell you it's good to get feedback; we're writing to entertain YOU as much as ourselves, without feedback we don't know if we're succeeding and giving you what you want to read. So take a couple of minutes to let me (and other writers on this site) know what you honestly think, it'll be greatly appreciated and encourage us to write more!

UPDATE 17/8/11: You may have noticed I've been missing in action for a while. That's because real life has been seriously kicking my butt for the last 8 months, but I'm trying to get back to writing again. So I'd like to ask anyone reading this - is anyone still interested in more fics about Nosy and its adventures with the Torchwood team? Send a message or leave a review to let me know. I need encouragement and motivation to help me get back into writing. I'm counting on you, maybe if there's enough interest it will make me get on with writing! Help me, readers, you're my only hope!

UPDATE 8-5-13: Both penguincrazy and biancaruth have pointed out that the butterfly in my series of Butterfly Drabbles does not have a name yet. I have no ideas, and my inner Ianto is strangely silent on the subject, so if any of you good people out there have any suggestions, PM me and I'll see if I can figure out how to do a poll for the suggested names.
