Was feeling sad but happy reading this, and then came that twist at the end. Nice to know Jack will get Ianto back eventually.

I was all misty eyed and emotional, but still willing to accept this as Jack's exploration of Ianto through both his own memories and those of others. It was heart-wrenching, but beautiful and very moving. But then somehow you turned it around and gave us (and Jack) a wonderful, hopeful feeling of there being so much more yet to come, with Ianto and Jack getting a second chance at happiness, and that took the story to a whole new level of perfection D

This was brilliant, even before the unexpected twist. I loved how Jack reconnected through his own memories, and learned so much more through the memories of others. Loved all the small details included, and the idea of Jack learning to recreate Ianto's coffee! It still would have been wonderful if it were only sad/sweet and finished there, yet he (and we) were aware that the transducer could show the future - and you envisioned such a wonderful future for him. Lovely story thank you.

Oh god, I so want this to be true ... Can we make it happen somehow; get them back together like this?
You've added such a special feel to these flashbacks - brought back so many memories and, yeah, okay, many of these 'memories' might show that Jack didn't totally deserve Ianto's complete show of devotion ... But the Captain ... and we viewers ... more than deserve a second chance.

That scene when Jack is begging Ianto not to go always makes me cry and it did here too. No I agree the mistakes belong to the BBC, RTD (especially RTD). I know he wanted it to be the Gwen show, but when Jack and Ianto were so popular he didn't have to destroy Ianto. Woohoo! Ianto back! Take that RTD!

I felt myself in Jack's place the entire time. My heart aches and hopes so much. The memories are so complete, so perfect. I desperately want the cafe scene to be true. The transducer has captured everything so far, it must be so!
