Author has written 51 stories for Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Alice, 2009, Primeval, Fringe, and Sanctuary. Credit for my avatar goes to YouGottaSingAlong, who drew me a picture of the MoonRaptor which I promptly beheaded for my avatar. :P IMPORTANT INFO: I am eighteen. I am a girl. My name is Lucy; you may also see me under the pseudonym of "thecoloryes" in more strictly American situations or the name Nyssa. But please, call me Lucy. I have been writing fanfiction since I was a little girl, although I didn't realise that was what it was. I have officially been writing fanfiction for seven years, and original stuff for something more like eleven. When I find new tv shows with attractive characters and witty banter, I almost irreparably revert to my pre-teen fangirl ways, which thankfully my boyfriend doesn't mind too terribly. I do this almost disturbingly frequently, so you'll pardon the multitude of fandoms I represent across the board. I would like to say a quick thank you to YouGottaSingAlong and OutCold for being my wonderful Scottish keyboard pals and awarding me the status of Honourary Brit. I would also like to make a quick shoutout to the wonderful people over at GW, specifically my fellow Teslenites, thanks so much for welcoming me into the fold so quickly. For more up-to-date information, hit me up on blogspot. Same username. Would link, but of course, FF won't let me. PROJECT(S): Currently: I am not working on anything. Doctor Who fanfic potentially soon. In the future:I have fallen back in love with Eleven and Nine (who is and always will be my Doctor, and Eleven is quite like him so he's grown on me quite a bit especially recently). I would like to break out my OC Annalily Harpwell again -- see her fics below for more reference (she is named in the summaries I believe). ON REVIEWS, REPLIES, AND BETA-ING: Reviews: I try to review most of the things I read. When I leave a review, it's always honest, and I try to include as much concrit as I can. But don't worry -- I'm not going to insult your story or your writing style because I don't like your grammar! And I'll always find something good to say about your work, especially if I critique it. :D Replies: I try to reply to every review I get. I think it's a good habit to thank people for taking the time to write me a little something about my story. Even if it's just a little "I'm glad you liked the story, thanks for the review!" I think it's good to acknowledge people for the effort they give you. Beta-ing: I'm a plot-spackling grammar-Nazi when it comes to beta reading. I leave lots of in-line notes, highlight your errors, make suggestions on awkward phrasing, and also leave notes of what, as a reader and not an editor, I do and don't like. Of course, this makes my beta-ing process work intensive, so it takes me some time to return even a short fic, and I go through fluctuations of when I have time for it with school work and so on. My current class schedule is too intensive to deal with new beta requests; I'm sorry. FINALLY: Enjoy the show! "The act of writing is the act of discovering what you believe." --David Hare |
