Light Yagami was raised as a devout Catholic. However, at a young age he was taken advantage of by a priest. This horrible occurance enabled the boy to see the world as the rotten distopia it truly was. Everywhere he looked all he saw was manifestations of sin and people corrupted by their iniquities. So, when Light turned eighteen, he left his family, as well as, the vile world he lived in and sought refuge in a monastary. Not long after his arrival he notices a peculiar, reclusive monk named Brother Lawliet. Light is intrigued by this man and strives to forge a friendship with him. Yet, when he gets close to the strange man, Light realizes he wants more than a platonic realationship and is endangered by one the deadliest sins of all: Lust.
