Possible Fics floating around in my head:

Gundam Wing - (Post EW) A new epidemic has taken hold, with the only connection between the victims being their birthplace--the colonies. As the death toll begins to rise and with no cure in sight, the people begin to call for the quarantining of the colonists. Only the colonists know that such a quarantine would practically be suicide and are in no way willing to cooperate.

Fullmetal Alchemist - (Anime - Post Movie) Year 1922. Amestris. Citizens begin to disappear in Central, but no one connects the dots until a Lieutenant Colonel Jean Havoc doesn't show up to work one Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, Edward Elric has shown up on the Rockbell's front porch with all human limbs and no memory of how he regained them.

Cal Leandros Series - (Set during Nightlife) In those few fleeting, terrified moments in which Cal was really and truly dead, he sees the Gate. And for some reason, he gets the feeling that this one doesn't lead to Tumulus. (Crossover, but only if you squint.) Oneshot.
