Summary:
Different worlds move together. The search for motives underneath the underneath... it has never been explained quite like this before. At a boarding school, Sakura is the new student trying to find her way in the dangerous pool she has been thrown into. In a modern city filled with skyscrapers and corruption, Sasori is going about his own underground life where there is no place for sympathy. Far away in Fire Country, Naruto has fled from the village he came to love so much, trying to save everything that's dear to him in his own way. Get ready for a twist away from reality, that may eventually lead to the here and now.
--Rated M for character deaths, crime and possible adult situations.

A short introduction to the different parts of Collateral:

I: Sakura is the new student on a boarding school that's primarily attended by rich students. Once there, she becomes the prize of a game that's played by two handsome boys, Deidara and Sasori. The game gets more serious than expected, people get hurt and all goes wrong. Sakura doesn't know what's happening to her... She's at a loss, and losing.

II: Sasori is a wetboy taking a temporary break from his not-so-legal life. While 'enjoying' his free time, he meets a girl who keeps sticking to his life for some reason. Once his job starts again, Sasori finds himself both trying to keep his annoying partner away from the girl, and trying to keep the girl oblivious to the fact that his newest target is in fact one of her best friends.

III: Naruto, Sakura and some others have relocated to the Village hidden in the Rain. With one of late Orochimaru's secret techniques some of the Akatsuki have been resurrected to help them protect the world from Madara's evil plans. However, tension is running high between the Leaf ninja and the former Akatsuki, preventing any good cooperation from happening. Also, there is this book Sakura found...

It is one month before Naruto returns to Konoha, when Sakura goes out for the evening to have dinner together with Ino. On her way there, she meets this beautiful young man that captures her body and soul--though she would have never thought just how literal that sentence would become.

Up above, in the world the mortals call Heaven, Sakura gets a new position with much influence on the humans on Earth. Together with a select few of others, she is to maintain a good atmosphere in the world of the mortals. However, the beings of down below, who find themselves in the place the mortals call Hell, have different plans--plans that involve Sasori, who is currently spending some chill-time in Heaven.
