Here is a small history lesson for you: the word spelled as “realize” originated in Britain and dates back to 1611 in official text. The word spelled as “realise” did not appear until 1755 and was not commonly used in Britain and other countries in published text until 1875 as a way of differentiating American publications from European. The spelling of most words with “-ise” did not gain as much popularity in America as “-ize” had. The word is not incorrect spelled either way as other countries spell it “-ise” and America spells it as “-ize”. Keep that in mind, my dear fellow readers, that contrary to popular belief - America kept the original spelling of the word and did not change it.

Sunday, January 5th, 2020 [6:41 PM] - Hello! Yes, I am still alive and mostly well. I recently went home for Christmas and through all the travels, I caught a cold, and I have almost a four-hour flight tomorrow afternoon. In the great words of Charlie Brown: URGH!

As I sat here and commiserated over my long overdue (and much needed) vacation being cut short due to illness, I decided to look through all the old books and CDs I wasn’t able to take with me when I moved. I felt nostalgic and began listening to some old playlists from when I was 14-16 years old. Once Fefe Dobson came on I immediately thought back with fond memories of when I obtained the album.

I went on a road trip with my family and had finally found Fefe Dobson’s self-titled album. After I fought with the airtight plastic (that had to have been applied with superglue) for about half an hour in the backseat, I popped the newly freed disc in my portable CD player, put my headphones on, and prepared for the long drive back home. During the journey home, I could almost see in my mind's eye a story playing out when track seven came on. Being the nerd I am, I pulled out my notepad, a good pen and began writing out that story as best as could along the bumpy highway. When I finally got home, I decided to type out the rest of my story, add some details I missed and post it online.

As I sat here in my old room getting all sentimental of the past, once track seven (“Kiss Me Fool”) played on Fefe Dobson’s album, I was reminded how agonizingly slow time seemed to pass when you’re younger, and how quickly time escapes you when you’re older. I’ve been meaning to get things updated on here for years but haven’t had the time to do so. Now that I have a fresh new laptop and a three and a half hour flight ahead of me - I think that’s a pretty good time to start writing again.

Just because we get older doesn’t mean we should forget about the little things that once made us happy. It may be a slow process, but I’ve already begun working on finishing my stories.

I’ve not posted in so long but I still see the notifications and reviews coming in and it makes me happy that after all of this time you guys still enjoy my stories, even after thirteen years. This time - with absolute certainty - if you’re still around, or if you’re here wondering what the hell sort of notification you’ve gotten after so long; please look forward to some new chapters in 2020.

IMPORTANT (OLD) NOTICES:

Sunday, January 29th, 2017 [9:26 PM] - *bows in shame* I'm alive! I'm sorry that I've been MIA for so long. As I was preparing to overhaul my work after my last update, something unexpected happened... ._. I moved to the complete opposite side of the U.S.! College was put on hold in 2013 due to some personal family matters and I got a full-time job that has been kicking my derriere since 2015. As my best friend (and roommate) was scrolling through recently, she ranted and raved over her favorite authors that suddenly vanished over time, leaving gems unfinished and never knowing how the story ended. That was when she glared at me and reminded me that I have work unfinished also and that I should finish my stories.

So, needless to say, that for the 10th time, after 1,700 miles, 1 tablet, 1 phone, and 3 laptops later I've now gotten somewhat re-situated. I'm wanting to clean up my old work as I mentioned... *ahem-four years ago-ahem* and finish what I started. I don't think my stories are as great as the ones my friend misses but it does bother me I never finished them. Hopefully delving back into my madness will rid the unwanted stress adult life has brought me. Whether anyone reads my stories or not, I don't really care. But, if anyone enjoys them, then that's awesome. I'll update again when I'm close to actually getting something done on here. Until then, my lovelies.

P.S... OMG, everything has changed!! I'm trying to learn what all of these new features are!! TToTT

Monday, December 17th, 2012 [2:08 AM] - To those of you that may have been following any of my stories since publication or recently: I apologize! The only excuse I have for not posting is a very simple one: Life. I still have a lot of work to do on some of my old stories. Some will be removed, relocated and others will be updated as I noted quite a few grammatical errors and spelling flub-ups I thought were fixed during my last round of chapter updates.

I'm sure you'll have to re-read the chapters once I manage to post them for Nightmares. Hell, even I have to re-read them! lol I’ve had two possible next chapters for Nightmares waiting to be edited for years. So, if anyone manages to stumble across my page here, again, I apologize and will try my very best to update and add new stories as soon as possible.

There have even been new categories I've been contemplating posting in. Death Note, Dragon Ball GT, Alice in the Country of Heart's/Heart no Kuni no Alice and 1/2 Prince to name a few I've been pondering on during my absence. But I'll get to that once I've finished what I originally posted.

Thank you for taking the time to read my stories (however old and gawd-awful they are.) I hope to post at least one chapter before the end of this year. (How long has it been since my last update again...?)

Monday, December 17th, 2012 - I almost forgot to mention it, but I figured this would be the best place to tell you: As I sort through all of my stories before we turn AOL off I'll likely be posting a lot of my Original stories over on FanFiction.net's sister site, "FictionPress.com" under the same username PissedxOffxPrincessx18. So, once I start re-posting here again go on over and check out some of my original work; as I'm sure something will be posted by then. If not part of a series, then at least a few short stories.

Sunday, March 16th, 2008 - Okay, so I don't get accused of posting my own stories on another website - I am posting both original chapters of "Kiss Me Fool" and possibly “Soar” over on Deviant Art. I have a different username there under YamanakaChicky because I lost the password and e-mail to the one matching this account. All of my art is on there also. I edited the spelling and errors. I'll get around to editing the chapters on here once I make the second half of the stories less horrible lol.

Monday, September 10th, 2007 - Hellish Lust: Bloodkill: Once more - I’ve rushed myself because I wanted the post date to be on Halloween and it ended up being too out-of-plot. And it's my own original story! I plan to re-post the chapter and move it out of the "Underworld" category since it virtually has nothing to do with either of the movies.
