I changed the title of this since only a few of the pieces were actually drabbles and I didn't entirely follow NirCele's prompt list. They're more very short stories that don't belong anywhere else. Elrond is not in the best of moods tonight and that annoys him in itself because he shouldn't be upset, not here. This is Valinor, for Valar's sake. Mithrandir decides to manifest himself to see if he can nudge him out of it.

PG-13 to R for elf torture. Elrohir arrives before the battle to find Aragorn, but Elladan was captured by the Urukhai on the plains, and now both of them are dying. Will Aragorn lose his brothers to their connection... and Legolas as well? Not slash. CH 18!

He had been many things in the Second Age, but when the Third dawned; when they had won the last battle and said farewell to the last of their kin, he became the High King, as Gil-galad had wanted. Elrond is forced onto another path then the one he wished to walk. The Third Age changes, but not the Fourth. Complete.

With the lives of many of their kindred hanging in the balance, including that of Atanatar the young prince of Gondor, and also the Lord of Rivendell, it turns into a race not only against the mountain and its pernicious moods, but also against time itself. A 30 Day Headcanon Challenge primarily regarding Elrond - his life, his love, his family. From the beginning of his life, even unto the end after the sea has called him home, here are a few snapshots of his life and those in it.
