Hello!

I'm Nicole...I'm a 21 year old Canadian university student who considers reading to be the most perfect form of escapism there is! I also love to write, but rarely have the time or true inclination to finish anything I start.

I opened this account when I was 16 and a completely different person, (hence the cheesy name baha) and I only recently got into enjoying fanfiction again. Though I considered creating a new account entirely, I decided that it might be interesting for me to see the transition of where I was back then to what I am now, all in one place.

My biggest inspiration in life (when it comes to writing as well) would definitely be the Harry Potter books, as I’ve been a fanatic about them for over half my life. Those books have shaped me into who I am today. Beyond them, I love many other books (too many to list here), though I will mention the Hunger Games, as that was the series that inspired me to begin writing my own book. Also, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, which more than anything else has taught me how to think and dream big.

As for the three stories I’ve written and posted here on fanfiction: I wrote them years ago, and (I hope) they in no way reflect the way I write today, as they aren’t the greatest! More just the rambling of a foolishly romantic and overly dramatic teenager! In fact, I cringe when I even think about looking at them again! But I’ve decided to leave them up, because they are just as much of my writing process as anything in my life, and it could be interesting to see where this all goes.

I’ve reactivated my account more as a way to reconnect with the amazing writers on this site; to learn from them, and to hopefully lend them support in their own writing. I don’t know if I’ll ever feel inclined to write another fanfiction story as I used to love doing when I was a kid, but maybe one day the mood will strike me, and then I’ll be thankful to have this place as an outlet!
