Dramione arcs work because there's hope Draco is redeemable when he actively works to be a better person. I don't think it's wrong to address rape when done properly in the sense that it's recognized for what it is, the reaction to it from characters we love shows it's unacceptable in any form (it can happen even between a married couple, there are many shades not just attack by stranger), you show people how to support a friend or loved one and suggest coping strategies for the victim (all within the storyline of course). There are many other stories that manage to do it, it's not impossible.

It sounds like a lot of work to do because it is and it should be. It's a big responsibility to take on a subject that is not only sensitive to many but also can be damaging to the many young girls on here who's standards could be set by what they read on here.

It sounds like the rest of the story is well written but it's very difficult to get past the first chapter knowing they are building a relationship with this act as the foundation.

It is precisely through romantic themed media like this (books, movies, etc) and not any formal education that people are learning how to treat themselves and others. We don't want to think that because this is a casual platform and you should be able to write what you want. But like freedom of speech there's a caveat...speak freely as long as it doesn't bring harm to another.

At the very least you should include a warning of rape-sex at the top so people can decide to read it or not.

I know I'm too late for the party but, this is by far my most favorite fanfic. The story line makes sense, the ending is what should always happen with Dramione, they are too hopeless and too different for a happy ever after. If Akasha made a happy marriage for them it will be plain and distaste. I love this, i can't say enough that i LOVE this fic, thank you for your effort.
