One of Harry's magical relatives is not dead, and he comes to get Harry from the Dursleys. What if the horcrux in Harry's scar hadn't quite been as contained by the Blood Wards as Dumbledore planned. Rather than twisting Harry's personality, it darkened his aura. The two set off on a trip together around the world, where Harry will discover the benefits of being the only student of a brilliant former Headmaster who no longer feels the need to avoid sharing information.

The houses of Hogwarts are growing stagnant, and a certain sentient Hat is dismayed over this turn of events. It decides to take matters into its own hands, taking advantage of several obscure rules to sort students where the Hat wants them, not where heredity or their own desires want them to be. The result? A mess that gradually pulls the student body into utter chaos.

Where long forgotten espionage has far reaching consequences. Harry is nine years old. Post First Avengers movie. This is as far as I have gotten, unsure as to keep it going or not as I have already got a couple of tales in the works. Will base it on reaction.

Being the Master of Death made life difficult, especially when you need to save all of magical Europe from inbreeding its way to extinction.
