![]() Author has written 14 stories for Supernatural. So this is where I'm supposed to tell you something about myself. But really there is little to tell. My story isn't nearly as interesting as the things I can imagine. I love many fandoms, but my main love is Supernatural. There's just something about those boys and their relationship that speaks to me. But, I'm an observer by nature and much less of an active participant in any of my fandoms. A life long introvert, I tend to lurk in the background of things, and FanFiction is no exception. But I have taken the plunge, so here I am. I have multiple stories running through my brain, but my muse seems to jump around between them. I try to only post once something is completely written (or very close) because I don't like to keep anyone hanging. My goal is to write Gen stories - hopefully good ones. I feel like there aren't enough of them out there. I also gravitate towards stories that deal with the day-to-day life of Dean and Sam...so you know what to expect. When it comes to Supernatural FanFiction I love : Great gen stories that fit into canon. Good case fics with solid plots that I can't predict. Realistic pre-series situations and flashbacks. Well written tags that fill in the blanks between or as part of aired episodes. Stories that explore a character's motivations in a way I might not have considered before. Touching moments between characters that feel real and are in context. My pet peeves include: Anachronisms (Like cellphones in the 1980's or early 90's - and even in the late 90's with perfect coverage in a rural setting, or teen-aged Dean referencing a movie that was not released until 2010.) Normal things that don't make sense or have a reason. (Like having adult Sam described as wearing size 8 shoes, or a character having an open head wound that doesn't bleed much, or wheelchair bound Bobby going up and down stairs to fetch something.) Unnecessary romance and the need to pair everyone up (if a story doesn't need a kiss or love declaration, why add it for no reason? Especially as the ending of the fic.) Stories that are so AU that the only thing they share with the actual show are the names of the characters. Especially scenarios and premises that are not true to the characters. Continuity errors such as having a character remove their shoes twice in the same scene, having something in their hand that disappears in the next scene, or having a character walk somewhere, then their car is magically available to drive home. (Sure we all make mistakes, but a little editing goes a long way.) xxxxxx So that's me...thanks for stopping by! |
