OH MY GOD THIS IS SO CUTE

I like this story. It's sweet and brotherly and I'm a sucker for open affection between the brothers. I think it's so weird that somehow we've decided as a society that guys can't platonic cuddle without it being secretly gay or something, when girls do it all the time. I've slept curled up next to my sister before just because, and we're both about the age of Sam and Dean in this story. It's too bad that Sam is so self conscious about it. The man literally went through hell. If he needs to sleep next to his brother, for goodness sake, just sleep!

That was amazing, loved the way the Dean helped Sammy going through this moment of terror, without any embarrassment, after all they are brothers and stay that way is no source of shame
Sometimes I think in the series they underestimated the full horror of the cage, it was nearly 200 years there, unimaginable torture, so it's understandable that Sam has problems with it
But Dean here was simply the best brother in the world, understand what his brother needs and recognizing all he did

I'm so glad in your stories the boys are getting all the cuddles they need. :) I was so weirded out when Dean claimed his own room in the bunker - it must feel so strange to not be sleeping as the same room as Sam, and vice versa. Have you ever considered writing a story about that?

This is such a fantastic piece. You handled characterization of Sam and Dean perfectly in this. I love the part where Dean is trying to get Sam to just relax and settle into his arms and how he says it's "like you've never done this before"... he slides so easily into the big brother role when Sam is vulnerable. You do amazing work. You have the most heartwarming stories to tell. Thanks so much for sharing them with us!

Wow ... this was sure a tie my heart in knots kind of angst fest! Which of course, is a compliment! The emotions in this story were so palpable, so real. The way Dean was instantly awake and at Sammy's side when he heard his baby brother in distress. I could feel that helpless "what's wrong?" right along with Dean. And the way you wrote Sam's shame was amazing. The way he was so tentative at first, just waiting for the other shoe to drop and have Dean laugh at him ... ugh! Tugged my heartstrings right out! Even though we all know what an awesome big brother Dean is, I was nervous right along with Sam. Thankfully, you wrote a tender, wonderful Dean and a fluffy happy ending. Dean is always willing to do anything for Sam, and you wrote that so brilliantly. They don't talk about this except safely under cover of darkness. So sweet and beautiful. Definitely a favorite of mine. Wonderful story!
