I wanted to let you all know is that I have dropped RWBY the show.

This happened at around Chapter 3 of Volume 6. My interest in the show was slowly dwindling at around the midway point of Volume 4. It didn't get any better as I absolutely hated how the last three Chapters of Volume 5 were done (as well as had been disappointed with the Volume as a whole).

The things that got me interested in RWBY to begin with since the Red Trailer first dropped so many years ago was the shows world, characters, and fights.

The things that the world had established have either no bearing on the main characters or are completely brushed off. The Grimm especially have been the most disappointing cool concept for me. So many cool designs that don't do jack. They are literally fodder despite being "humanity's greatest threat". So many things about the world are told rather than shown, and it's because of that I don't find the world to hold my interest.

Most of the characters either have the most pathetic excuse of an "arc", are one-dimensional, or make really stupid decisions. The villains are not interesting for me and the characters I do like are all minor or side characters. The fact that I would have to read outside material to learn more about some of my favorites or are used as a way to flesh out ones that the show doesn't do on it's own doesn't help.

I used to like the fact in fights the characters had some kind of weight to their movements or actions, but that was lost in Volume 4. Some of the camera work has been used in interesting ways, but the movements and animations are sub-par at best.

But I feel like ultimately it is when the bulk of the time I would be waiting for something to get expanded upon to be disappointed in the results, and only if there was any payoff to begin with. See Silver Eyes and everything mentioned in the World of Remnants.

There are so many plot conveniences that it seriously bothers me. That was especially true with Dijn.

I will be continuing my stories, but I don't care about canon anymore. I don't bash or hate people who find enjoyment in the show nor do I wish ill intent on the creators. I just no longer have an interest.

Hopefully I can get some more Chapters out, but with my final semester of community college starting next week, it'll be difficult.

What do I do on this site besides write? What do my stories usually cover?

I mostly read fics and add them to my favorites so I can read them again. My fics would most likely be about RWBY as I come up with more ideas.
