![]() Author has written 7 stories for Mass Effect, RWBY, and Elder Scroll series. access granted...opening the file Personal file Greetings to anyone who is reading this :-) To summarize, I'm just a guy who is a bit different than the rest of people and isn't ashamed of not being "normal" (but can anyone say what the definition of a 'normal person' is?) Name: no data available Nickname: TheCivilizedCaveman (formerly ganto; like the captive STG commando from Virmire, fans of Mass Effect will know ;-) Gender: male Location: Czech Republic, Europe, Earth, Sol system, Local cluster Age: Profile pic: Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... Eskel, the witcher! (from The Witcher saga, of course) The quote is a joke from Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; it's that scene where the witchers of Kaer Morhen get shit-faced drunk. Watch the scene on YouTube, it's pure gold, I tell you XD Hobbies and favorites: Music - I like just about anything that isn't rap, hip-hop or similar, though I prefer rock (and all of its kind); I listen mostly to older stuff, like 80's and 90's because the music of the new millenium is... I can't even say it without using expletives, even though there are people that can actually do a very good music; I also play guitar, both electric and acoustic, whenever I feel like it Drawing - About two weeks ago, I set up an account on DeviantArt. Took me a while to post some stuff there since personal life kept getting in the way but I've finally uploaded some stuff to my gallery. You're welcome to drop by and have a look if you want; my user name is the same as here on FFN: TheCivilizedCaveman. Games - Well, it's obvious Im a big fan of Mass Effect trilogy, even despite the ending, (EA really desecrated my favorite game series, even thought they made up for it with Extended Cut DLC) and Halo series (I finished playing Halo 4 campaign. It was f*#&ing awesome! Poor Cortana though...It's always sad when a likeable character has to die). My other favorites are: TESV (Skyrim), Dishonored, XCOM, The Witcher series Speaking of Halo, there is a machinima webseries based on game engine of this series, it's called Red vs Blue (and it's created by RoosterTeeth). I discovered this only by chance, but I'm very glad I did; one of the very best shows I've ever watched. (RoosterTeeth also launched an anime-like series, RWBY; even though I don't watch anime, this series is awesome!) Writing - Even though I write stories for FF for quite a long time, I think I still have a LOT to improve. Especially my problems with English make it painfully obvious; grammar slipups, forgetting vocabulary, confusing words and what not :-( So if anyone took their time to write a review and point out my mistakes or suggest what I could improve on my writing, it would help me a great deal. And I'd like to thank all those who are reading my work :-) Box for thoughts: some of these may be really old but I decided to keep them here I imagine all of you have heard about the large purge that awaits this site. Every story which would be considered as MA, will be destroyed. The ones responsible for planned purge just don't realize they will destroy the hard work of many good writers (it's not like I count myself to them). I'm not a freak obsessed with detailed violence and sex in stories, but I think the hard purge is wrong. In my opinion, a better option would be labeling these stories as MA and they would be accesible only to registered users. Yes, there will be still many people who won't agree with this suggestion, but it's still a better option than destroying someone's work. Okay, lately I've read this was just a mystification but I'm keeping it here, just to express my stance (and in case it really does happen eventually, which I pray it does not) About Extended Cut DLC: Truth to be said, I'm conflicted. It explains things the original ending left for us to wonder about, such as Shep's squadmates mysteriously appearing onboard the Normandy, flying away from Earth in FTL, the Catalyst and the Reapers, it fills out the most of loop holes, for which I'm thankful. It left me much less depressed than after seeing the complete clusterf*#% represented by original ending (And I still prefer the Destroy conclusion as the only right one). But on the other hand, it's still not what I'd imagine. After all this mess he/she went through, Shep deserves to find some peace and hapiness. Monty Oum, the member of Rooster Teeth and creator of RWBY, has passed away on 1st February 2015. Words cannot even describe what is going through my mind as I write these words. It was enough of a shock to learn that he had been hospitalized. Now that he departed this world... I think I can speak for many of us when I say that I never thought this day would ever come. As much as difficult it is to express myself at this moment, I'd like to honor Monty and his memory with some words on my own. Monty was an incredibly gifted person; not only he was talented and extraordinarily creative, but also, he always put a tremendous amount of effort into all his works. True, I never got the chance to meet him in person, but I truly would have liked to. He inspired many, including us fanfic writers and all the others who had fallen in love with the world of Remnant, his creation. Monty, I'd like to thank you for everything you've done, for being an inspiration and a person many of us gladly looked up to. Rest in peace. So, I've been told that FFNet doesn't really like links in their stories. I remember putting a link for a webpage about dragon language (TES V Skyrim) into my TES fic and wondering why it didn't show up in there... One person was kind enough to suggest a solution, so I'm posting the link here: If you want to speak like a Dovah, then this is what you're looking for! - https:/// My stories Bohové zkázy - dokončeno (jupííííí) Do neznáma - pokračování povídky Bohové zkázy, update kdykoli budu moct; do budoucna možná změním název :-D English translation of Czech Mass Effect stories on indefinite hiatus Skyrim: Paths of Fate - deleted; replaced by The Paths Intertwined To Be a Huntsman - RWBY fanfic, AU-ish, COMPLETE as of 9th September Hunters and life - A collection of oneshots, playing out in the TBaH universe Prompts and bits This is simply just a place where I dump some of my ideas for stories which I'm not capable of writing. Because, let's face it, I barely manage actively writing two stories, let alone any more... If anyone is interested in taking the idea and convert it into a full-fledged story, then by all means, you're welcome to do so. The slimmest of chances (Mass Effect/RWBY crossover) Description - The Normandy crew did it. They beat the odds, again. The Collector base was blown to bits, along with the monstrosity hidden inside. But in the desperate attempt to escape the shockwave from the base's explosion, an anomaly sends the SR2 into a place that was well beyond their wildest imaginings, with the slimmest of chances to make it back home... Basic idea: There is an anomaly caused by the destruction of the Collector base that causes the Normandy to slip into another dimension while attempting to accelerate to Faster-Than-Light speed and subsequently crash land on Remnant, near the Beacon Academy (happens sometime after RWBY vol. 1). Normandy is knocked out during the crash. The Normandy crew wants nothing but to leave the planet but soon they are dragged into a shadow war between Ozpin's faction and a mysterious individual known as 'The Queen' while finding a way to repair their damaged ship and return back to their galaxy. Commander Shepard will have to deal with many headache inducing matters, such as 'cultural differences', mistrust from Remnant inhabitants, General Ironwood's attempts to obtain Mass Effect technology for Kingdom of Atlas (including trying to confiscate the SR2), The Queen's machinations, a certain all-girls team of Beacon students who are too curious for their own good, and finally The Illusive Man who is determined to take back his investment by any means necessary... The warp in Winterhold (TESV-Skyrim/The Witcher crossover) Description - There's a good reason why you shouldn't play around with powerful and dangerous artifacts... Blinded by prospects of wielding unrivaled power, however, Ancano ignored all risks and reason. Thanks to him I'm now stuck in a whole other world, teeming with monsters I've never seen before, and where non-humans are routinely stepped on. Just great... Basic idea: During the final confrontation of the main character (may be a man or elf, male or female, college student or even professor, Dragonborn or no Dragonborn, the choice is entirely on the writer) with Ancano during the College questline, the Eye of Magnus grows unstable and ends up teleporting both the MC and Ancano into the city of Vizima, right in the middle of the king's palace's main hall. In the confusion, the MC manages to kill Ancano but then is confronted by King Foltest and his court. The guards are ready to cut the intruder down but after the intervention of one Triss Merigold, the king decides to hear their story... and thus the main character becomes unwillingly involved in the affairs of the new world. This happens about two years after The Rivian Pogrom, where Geralt of Rivia was killed... and three years before the famed witcher reappears. closing the file |
