Some things are just meant to be, no matter how many times the universe messes with them. Or Bay is sick and misses the day her biology class tests their blood types, thus delaying the switched at birth reveal. Primarily a Bay/Emmett fic, but other characters are involved.

Emmett confronts Bay after finding out that she was with another guy. They breakup after realising that the distance is just too much to keep their fidelity. After five years of not seeing each other they meet again at Bay's art show, Bay is now a successful artist while Emmett is working on his first film.

Bay is left in a mess when Ty leaves for Afghanistan just after she finds out that he cheated on her with Aida. Here is my version of what happens next. The story picks up when Bay goes to visit Emmett in S2 E21 "Departure of Summer"
