![]() Author has written 17 stories for Avengers, and Thor. Hi there! I believe we are generally discouraged from getting personal on this website, so I'll just say that my name is Raquel and if you happen to be curious about me further than that you can check out my social networking sites that I'll leave down below. :) I hope you're doing well and you enjoy some "light" reading ahead of you! Feel free to contact me, any time--whether that's on this website via private messaging or on my socials, just let me know where you came from, hehe! DeviantART: H-Everybody-Lies--MD Wordpress: RecoverytoWellness Twitter: RecoveryRaquel Youtube: RecoverytoWellness Archive of Our Own: UnmaskedPotential A little bit about me: I have a wonderful doggo, I'm uberly creative through writing (as you can find below :D), drawing, water coloring, coloring, painting, scrapbooking (really collages), bracelet making (seed beads), photography and filming! RecoverytoWellness is the place I find the most comfort and security in and I have high hopes for creating my four based recovery projects and writing my own memoir, a fictional story and poetry/art/recovery related books. I love rainbows and unicorns, I wrote about health and wellness for my university's newspaper, I graduated in December 2018 and if my soul were a color it would be a sparkling rainbow with a bright white light that causes traffic accidents worldwide! You will find that I write a lot of Loki-centered Avengers fanfiction! I fell in love through fan videos and fanfiction with Loki back in 2014, began acting out my own story that has now come into existence in "Come to Pass" and then subsequently lost my spunk in the face of mental health challenges. At the end of May 2016, I created my Wordpress account, a blogging website of which I talk about my mental health experiences, do book and film/TV reviews, daily prompts and promote wellness and recovery from mental health conditions. Personally, I live with obsessive compulsive disorder on self-harm and suicide obsessions. I also live with secondary depression, trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder), dermatillomania (skin picking) and borderline traits. Having this background in mental health struggles, I've utilized my coping strategies to create the story "Distorted & Disordered". It's a dark fanfiction at the start covering delicate topics such as suicidality and mental health conditions like depression, anorexia, substance use, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar and post-traumatic stress disorder. However, by the mid-way point (25 chapters in) it will brighten up as the story then explores the wonders and joys of friendship, choosing life, positive coping strategies and the wonderful and sometimes horrid experience that is the journey to recovery. It will be a triumphant story, and I hope that I can output the best of our beloved, favorite characters from the Avengers universe. There will also be a college based sequel and two AU's that you can learn more about in the story of D&D itself. :) I have fallen in utter love with "Severed", it is a story about life and how we have to cope with new situations that arise in our lives that we may not have expected or anticipated. I hope that you, too, will love it and nurture it as much as I do! I could go on for ages here, but I will just finish by saying that every story has bits and pieces of me in it. I guess part of the journey is discovering which parts are true and which are fiction. :) But really to say a little more about my stories--I love them all dearly. They certainly have their common themes and a lot of that tends to be about acceptance and facing adversity and triumphing over it. Sure, life sucks a lot of the time, but it's also beautiful and wonderful and meaningful. I place Loki in a lot of different situations where he faces the odds stacked against him but every time he prevails and makes it through them (unless he's dead, which sometimes is only temporarily in my fics). I think this says a lot about life and the end of life as a whole, and I hope that my writings can inspire others to either take up the pen and paper themselves and jostle other ideas on future stories they, too, can write. I think above all, being able to write creatively in such a poignant and meaningful way is underestimated. There's a lot of power when it comes to presenting content and if done well, you could come out of it with powerful lessons. I still remember an old House MD fanfic I read back when I was in high school many moons ago and how I came through it with some valuable realizations that honestly changed my life. I can't recall the specifics about it, but it was such a beautiful story. And personally, my all time favorite fic "Drown" by Ordis did that for me, too, and I aspire to be as good in my craft as they were (it's an amazing 48 chapter long fic that I absolutely recommend). Additionally, if you could spare the time to leave me a review or private message, that would be super awesome! I don't bite, and only offer baskets of hugs, I swear. ;) It can be anything related to the story or a request for something you'd like to see me cover. We can figure something out, I'm sure! Reviews and messages really do encourage me to continue writing the story, although I will not give up on any of them! I currently have 8 ongoing stories (with more to come) and a few on hiatus. I take a lot of inspiration from music so you may recognize some of my stories titles as coming from songs. I plan to do a few other series (SWC has a prequel IYIB, D&D has a sequel set in college and CtP may link up with AUS) along with short chapters focused on different Imagine Dragons songs and a story written in stand alone chapters having to do with the different senses (sight, hearing, etc.) called "Sense Less." Along with PLENTY of other stories that have yet to be written, ahaha. Okay, that's enough jibber jabber! I hope that you enjoy the readings ahead!! Stay safe. xxxx -x- |
