Hey! My name's Jayni. I don't write very often, but lately I've begun to get slightly obsessed with certain shows put out by the wonderful BBC. So, more stories are probably on their way.

The Doctor. (I put this here to indicate that I don't enjoy work where the Doctor is 'with' someone. He's the Doctor, and in my eyes, he is sex-free.)

Why I Enjoy the Shows I Do:

Torchwood: If you haven't seen Torchwood, let me say a few words about it. I saw a few episodes a few months back, thinking it would be like Doctor Who. My oh my was I wrong! I hated the show at first, too..."sexed up", to quote John Barrowman. Very recently I decided to give it another try, as I was always a fan of Captain Jack Harkness in the Doctor Who series. I don't know what happened, but this time around I fell in love with it. I'd never actually watched any shows or movies involving same-sex couples. I loved the openness of the show. They never apologized for anything, and no one judged them. I love the fact that they could show "couples". Not necessarily a man and a woman in love, just two people in love. Cause that's all that matters after all, isn't it? Love, pure and simple.

Doctor Who: Quite opposite to Torchwood, I love that this show isn't "sexed up". It is one of the very few shows out there where sex isn't even a part of the equation. Sure, you have couples in the show, for example Rory and Amy, but that's not what the show is about. Not in my eyes, anyway. The show is about a rather insanely wonderful man, who holds to his beliefs and doesn't go against them, no matter what. The Doctor makes the show.

Merlin: I've always been a huge fan of Arthur and his knights, and I couldn't resist watching. The dynamic between Merlin and Arthur is lovely, and I'm really enjoying the twist on Gwen being a servant. *claps her hands* Forbidden love, who can resist!

Stargate Atlantis: I think the team dynamic is wonderful and intriguing. They're all so very different, but they all work together so well. My favorite character is definitely and without a doubt Ronon. Close runner-up is most certainly Teyla. I love that she can be calm even in the most stressful situations.

Firefly: I love this show for so, so many reasons. I haven't attempted any Fan Fiction about this show, and most likely never will. The characters are so well-defined and well-rounded, I would be afraid to touch them. I love the relationship Simon has with his sister. He'll do anything to keep her safe, and that is beautiful.

Sherlock: Ah, lovely. Brilliantly clever re-adaptation of my favorite detective. Mr. Cumberbatch does an excellent job playing him, and I certainly enjoy the interactions between Sherlock and Watson. I love the little hints at flirtation, but also love that they're just friends.

People I want to meet:

#1: John Barrowman {he seems like a very fun guy, and he's got his head on straight...no pun intended }

#2: Van Gogh {impossible, I know, but he is by far my favorite artist. I could literally stare at Stary Stary Night for hours on end.}

#3: Oprah {she gives away free stuff a lot, and I'm greedy}
