My fics: I have decided to discontinue my Unity series. I have absolutely no interest in it anymore, since I find it to be mostly rubbish now (it was the first fanfic series I started writing). There are too many characters, a good portion of them OCs, in the Unity/Dumbledore's Army group that I made up, to be properly fleshed out and given characterizations. I am going to focus on my other fics, and A Change in Destiny (along with any sequels to it) can function as a much better version of the Unity series, since the Amity Association in that fic can be seen as a more manageable version of Unity.

A Different Future- The Dursleys don't want Harry, so Vernon tries to leave him on the steps of a church. A Romany (Gypsy) witch catches him and her family decides to adopt Harry, giving him the name of Alexander Jacob Romanov and pretending that he is the twin brother to their daughter, Elisabeth (Beth). He is told the truth about his identity when he gets his Hogwarts letter, and outside of his immediate and extended adoptive family, Remus Lupin, his friends, Dumbledore, and the four heads of house, nobody else knows the truth.

Saved from Darkness- A sort of prequel to A Different Future. After his friendship with Lily ends, Snape spends the summer as an apprentice to Ilsa Petrov (Harry/Alex's adoptive maternal grandmother) at her apothecary, since that is one of the requirements in order to achieve a Potions mastery. He slowly heals, and it will go into more detail about things alluded to in a chapter of A Different Future. Written for reviewer Elspeth25, who wanted the backstory to Snape as protrayed in the first fic.

A New Life Path- An AU set in the same universe as my fics A Different Future and Saved from Darkness. After Severus is punished by his father for getting his Hogwarts letter and insisting on attending, Eileen Snape has enough and leaves Tobias. She takes her son to Ilsa Petrov, whom she works for at the apothecary, and the two end up moving in with the Petrovs. Severus's life now takes a turn for the better, and things will change from there. Currently on hiatus until I can work out how I want the story to go, or if someone wants to take over writing it.

Nightwind School of Magic- A school of magic founded by an English wizard named Geoffrey Nightwind and his wife, a French witch named Marie Lavelle Nightwind. It takes witches and wizards with great talent or potential or are the children of previous students. The school is rather liberal and teaches students to treat others as equals regardless of lineage or race. Lily, Severus, Sirius, James, and Remus attend Nightwind School and with their roommates, form a group of friends known as the Phoenix Club. The story will go through their years at Nightwind School and move on to their children.

Nightwind School of Magic Two- Sequel to the first. The first few chapters focus on the Phoenix Club fighting Voldemort, and then focuses on Harry and his friends, who attend Nightwind School and form their version of the Phoenix Club.

The Power of Badgers- The Dursleys abandon Harry on the steps of a church, and a witch (who is a former Hufflepuff) named Arianrhod Llewellyn, Ria for short, adopts him. She raises Harry with the help of Remus and Sirius, and some aid from the Weasleys and the Longbottoms, and Harry befriends Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, and Susan Bones. Due to the Hufflepuff influence in their lives, Harry and his friends decide that they want to be Sorted into Hufflepuff and follow their path. They soon befriend their dormmates: Ernie Macmillian, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Justin Finch-Fletchley, and Lillian Moon, and set forth to show how strong badgers can be.

A Change of Destiny- Harry is being abused by his relatives. Mrs. Figg notices this and finally has enough and calls Social Services. A young Muggleborn witch named Cornelia Killian, Lia for short, is working as a Social Worker, and gets the call. She rescues Harry from the Dursleys and with the aid of her friends, sees that justice is served on the Dursleys. Harry is sent to the live with the Grangers, who recently got registered as foster parents, and he and Hermione befriend the Weasleys, who are Lia's foster family. This puts in kink in Professor Dumbledore's plans, and things change from there, such as promoting inter-house cooperation and forming a group of friends from all houses known as the Amity Association.

The Step That Became a Start- A one-shot set in the Tortall universe, specifically The Protector of the Small quartet, by Tamora Pierce. Focuses on the minor character of Fianola (whom the main character Keladry met in the third book, Squire) as she reflects on things prior to her Ordeal to become a knight. Partly inspired by the song "One of Us" by Heather Dale.
